Chapter 64
With that, Amara doacced Julie any and ignored Talan
Talan stood frozen on the spot. “Fuck,” he muttered under his breath..
He cursed himself for being nosy and informing Zayn that julle was here. It was only now he realized she wasn’t even here for Zayn How was he supposed to explain this?
He hurriedly caught up to them and forced a smile to say, “Julle, just come in and say hi to Zayn. Otherwise, I’m going to be in a tough spot”
Jube coldly responded, “That’s none of my business.”
Talan watched helplessly as the two walked off. Defeated, he sighed and reentered the VIP room.
Zam looked up and seemed confused that he was back alone. “Why are you by yourself? Where is she?
Talan scratched his head and awkwardly replied, “She’s not coming”
Zayn frowned. “What do you mean she’s not coming?
Talan desperately searched for an excuse and said, “Maybe she’s just shy,”
“You called her, didn’t you?”
Talan nodded. “I did, but she left.”
Zachary could barely suppress his scoff after listening to their conversation. It seems she isn’t here to beg for reconciliation, is she?
Already fuming, Zam snapped upon hearing that remark. He abruptly got up and slammed his glass onto the ground. “You’ve got guts, Jube! Let’s see if you can go your whole life without showing up in front of me again!”
Zachary remained unfazed and raised his brows casually. Glancing at his watch, he lazily remarked, “It’s getting late, and my mom’s nagging me to go home. You all enjoy yourselves. I’m heading out.”
Without waiting for Zayn’s response, he got up and strode out of the room.
As he searched all the way to the bar’s exit, he spotted julie and Amaya at the entrance. He steered his car smoothly to stop in front of them and rolled down the window.
Leaning slightly out, he greeted Julie with a warm simile. “What a coincidence. Fancy seeing you here.”
Amaya blinked in surprise. “Mr. Quinn, what are you doing here this late?”
Still smiling, Zachary warmly replied, “Just out for a drive. Where are you two headed? Hop in, and I’ll give you a ride.
Amaya leaned closer and sniffed the air suspiciously. “You didn’t drink, did you?”
“Of course not. Don’t worry,” Zachary reassured her with a gentle laugh.
Hearing that, Amaya relaxed and dragged Julie into the back seat. Then, she gave Julie’s address.
Once the car was on the road, Zachary focused on driving and occasionally glanced at julle through the rearview mirror. He casually asked, “What brings you two here so late at sight?”
Mentioning the reason reignited Amaya’s anger. “What do you think? We came to deal with a jerk)”
Zachary raised an eyebrow and smiled. “That boyfriend of yours?”
Amaya seemed surprised. “How did you know?”
“It was obvious from the way be looked. Brralding up
p with him was just an
da matter of time.”
Amaya furiously exclaimed, “That jerk took my money and spent it on wooning some younger woman. What a piece of trash!”
“So, you came to settle the scopes with him?”
“Of course! Why else would anyone come to the nightclub at this hour?”
Zachary said nothing, but his eyes sparkled with amusement
