Chapter 51
Megan panicked as the murmurs of judgment grew louder around her. She hurriedly explained, “I’m not a mistress! I’m Zayn’s girlfriend. pulle’s the mistress!”
The crowd looked at her as if she wete delusional
Megan hadn’t expected to end up being the laughingstock in an attempt to humiliate palle. She clenched her low in frustration as she glared daggers at the latter.
Jube met her gaze without a hint of tear and uttered word by word, “Zayn breaking up with you is your business. It has nothing to do with me.”
“How could it have nothing to do with you? You must’ve told him something!”
A bystander could no longer hold back and reminded Megan, “Zayn is a total jerk. He rarely stays with anyone for more than a month. What does it have to do with Julie that he’s dumped you?
Megan’s eyes reddened further, but she couldn’t refute the point.
Jule sighed internally. It was hard to pity someone when theywere being so unreasonable.
“I have nothing to do with Zayn, and my moving out has nothing to do with him either,” she declared.
At this point, she’d show no mercy if Megan continued her act. Megan wanted to speak, but she bit her Ep and held it in, knowing she was at fault.
Seeing her still standing at the door, Julie added, “Megan, please leave.”
Just as she was done speaking, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and saw that it was from Blaine. Then, she answered, “Hello?”
“I heard from Luce that you’re finding a place, juju. Would you like me to help?”
“No need. I’ve found a place, and I’m moving out today,” she replied.
“Let me help you move then, Blaine offered.
Jube quickly declined. “No, it’s fine. I can just grab a car myself.”
“What if something happens to you? Walt there. I’m coming over right now” With that, Blaine hung up the phone before she could protest further.
Julis stared at her phone in exasperation and let out a long sigh. She tumed back to Megan and asked, “Aren’t you leaving
Megan bit her Lp and said nothing.-
Julie decided against dwelling on her and returned to her room to continue packing
About ten minutes later, a commotion erupted outside. Frowning, Julie peeked out the door and saw Blaine striding over with a group of seven or eight men, all of whom were over
She instinctively backed into her room with fright, but Blaine had spotted her. He walked over to her dorm with a grin and called out, “I’m here, my dearest Juju!”
Julie forced a smile and glanced awkwardly at the Large group now crowding her doorway. “You didn’t have to bring this many people.”
She had to admit each of them looked tall and handsome
Out of politeness, she asked, “Are they your friends?
Blane nodded. “That’s right. We grew up together.” Then, he turned to the group and commanded, “Boys, greet her.”
As if on cue, the group shouted in unison, “Hello, Julie!”
Julie was too stunned to speak. What the hell was this? Did they binge–watch gangster movies or something?
She managed a dry laugh before pulling Blaine aside, “Can you not make a spectacle out of this?”
But Blaine dismissed her words. “Relax. They’re my bros. This is all your staff that needs to be moved, right?
Julie nodded
Blane called out to the man in the group standing at the uppermost front. “Xander, start moving!TM
“Got it. Blaine”
With that, the group got to work and completely emptied the dorm in less than five minutes. Even the garbage Julie had set aside to throw away had been taken out.
She stood helplessly still and couldn’t help but sigh in helplessness. Then, she looked toward the door and called out, “Hey, the garbage! You took the garbage too!”
Blaine waved dismissively. “No problem. I’ll tell them. You finish up here and come down. We’ll be waiting for you.”
With that, he grabbed her suitcase and left without another word.
