Chapter 8
Mireva had glorious weather. Jasper organized a grand wedding, and the couple invited their
close ones.
Nadine opened the doors to the banquet hall. Under the radiant lighting, she stepped onto the red carpet and walked toward the man she’d loved for so long.
The wedding went on smoothly. They said their vows. Before all the guests, they exchanged their rings and a kiss. Everyone gave them their blessings.
“Sweetie, it’s time to toast to the guests. So many of them attended our wedding today!”
A blissful smile adorned Nadine’s face. She looked unbelievably gorgeous, just like a beautiful butterfly. The guests showered them with praises, saying they were a match made in heaven. Nadine was different from Holly. She was adorable and naive and was always full of surprises. She was like a child who’d never grow up. However, Holly.
The silhouette Jasper saw in the airport crossed his mind, but he suppressed the uneasiness he felt. In a husky voice, he agreed to Nadine’s suggestion and went with her for the toast.
Waves of laughter and excited chatter intertwined with the clinking of glasses. The wedding went on until night fell. By then, Nadine was already drunk, lying limply in Jasper’s arms.
“Sweetie, I’m finally yours…
“Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this moment? I’ve loved you for you’re finally mine…
“I’m so happy.”
In the car, Nadine started feeling him up. She tugged on Jasper’s shirt.

and now
As Jasper listened to her drunken ravings, he gazed at her with a look of helpless doting. He let her touch him, then shifted their positions and pinned her beneath him.
After a passionate wedding night, he woke up to see Nadine sleeping soundly in his arms. He couldn’t help but smile.
They spent a sinfully pleasurable month together Jasper thought he would be reluctant to part when the time came, but actually, he kept thinking about Holly.
She was like a phantom that would appear before him every now and then.
“Sweetie,” Nadine called out in her honeyed tone
Jasper then realized he was distracted again. Smiling apologetically, he caressed her hair.
However, his mind went elsewhere again. The day had come for him to go home, and
“chann
somehow, he was eager to meet Holly.
He called his friends over, telling them he’d remarry Holly once he returned. He planned on giving her a surprise. His friends reassured him.
One said, “Don’t worry, Jasper. We know what to do.”
Another said, “We’ll never let the cat out of the bag. We’ll just say you’ve succeeded in making a comeback.”
“Holly would be elated when she hears that. However, our dear Naddy will be heartbroken again.”
They roared in laughter, Jasper smiled slightly, too. Only Nadine was dissatisfied.
“Sweetie, can’t we be together forever?”
Jasper’s flippant expression grew serious as he glanced at her coolly. “I told you we only have one month. Naddy, I’m your uncle. One month is more than enough.”
Nadine fell silent. She clung to his arm longingly and leaned closer for a kiss. “Well, then let’s do it one more time. It’s still early. It doesn’t matter if you meet Holly a bit later.”
Jasper chuckled at her innocent expression. He pinched her cheeks.
The others tactfully gave them space. Jasper no longer held back. He carried Nadine into his arms and kissed her affectionately.
“One last time, darling…”
