Chapter 10
Subconsciously, Jasper wanted to tear up the divorce certificate he was holding. However, he then realized that it was the last thing related to Holly that she’d left behind. If he tore it up, he’d have nothing to remember her by.
Again and again, he traced her name with his fingertip. His eyes were filled with longing for
her.
“Holly, it’s my bad. I shouldn’t have lied to you. You can hit me, scold me, or do whatever you want to me. But can you please not leave me? I can’t live without you, Holly.
He admitted his wrongdoings repeatedly, so much so that his voice turned hoarse. However the person he was apologizing to wasn’t there to hear it. It was all for nothing.
His friends had never seen him lose control in such a way. They tried to console him.
“Jasper, stay strong! Don’t be like this. Track her phone down, and you’ll surely find her.

Their suggestions helped Jasper regain some reason. He quickly texted Tom, instructing him to look into it. Like a statue, he sat in the room he shared with Holly.
It was a painfully long hour, after which Tom hurried in.
“Mr. Price! We tracked down Ms. Segal’s phone!”
Jasper’s eyes lit up. Her phone! Holly left something else behind for him! It might contain information about her whereabouts. She was waiting for him!
He quickly took it and clumsily turned it on. The screen slowly lit up. In those few seconds, his heart pounded furiously against his chest, threatening to leap out of his mouth. He still had a chance. As long as he found her…
Am
A message came through. It was from a number he was familiar with.
“Even if Jasper returns to you, he won’t remarry you. If I need him, he’ll immediately leave you behind and come to me!”
Along with the text message was a photo of a messy bed. Jasper didn’t know when Nadine took that photo and when she had started to provoke Holly.
Infuriated, he stared at the message. Instinctively, he knew this wasn’t the only message Nadine had sent.
He unlocked the phone and realized Holly had deleted all her social media accounts. She also deleted all her contacts except for one–Nadine.
The moment he saw that name, cold sweat broke out over him.
He took a long time to mentally prepare himself After
on it.
The latest message was a video Nadine sent that afternoon. It was a video of when they were in the car. When he saw that, he immediately knew what it was about.
He didn’t have the guts to play the video. He scrolled up.
Every day, Nadine would send Holly three to four videos along with some texts.
One text read, “How does it feel to be dumped? Holly, can you still hold on after being fooled?”
Another read, “Don’t you know Jasper has only ever loved me? Believe it or not, after this one month, if I still want to be with him, you’ll have no choice but to give in.
“If you don’t believe me, just wait and see. Jasper will never remarry you. He’ll only be with
me.”
Jasper’s expression was incredibly gloomy. His eyes burned with rage.
The relentless anger rendered him unable to reason. All he could think of doing now was getting back at Nadine.
Jasper was on his way out when he heard a noise from the doorway. His heart lurched. Had Holly returned?
