Chapter 89
“My stomach, it hurts
Justin stared in shock as his bodyguards groaned in agony. “You… You…”
Before he could finish, a sharp pain twisted through his abdomen like a knife, and a cold seat broke out all over his body
“You What did you do?” Justin demanded, his face pale as he glared at Kyle.
Kyle shook his head casually. “Nothing much. Relax, it’s not fatal. But it might hurt enough to make you wish it were, Ordinary people can last about 15 minutes. Since you’re big shots, you might hold on tor 200,”
Justin and his bodyguards were in so much pain that they couldn’t even speak. They had no idea if Kyle was bluffing or not, but the agony they felt was undeniable
Kyle, meanwhile, leisurely sat back down, sipping his coffee as though nothing was happening. After five minutes, he spoke again, calm and indifferent. “Bow your heads to my table, and I’ll ease your pain.”
Seeing Kyle so relaxed while they writhed on the floor, two of the bodyguards had already passed out from the pain. Justin realized that if this continued, he wouldn’t last much longer either.
What was supposed to be a simple job had spiraled into a nightmare. He had assumed Kyle would be easy to deal with, but now, tears were welling in Justin’s eyes- whether from the pain or sheer regret, he wasn’t sure
Through gritted teeth, Justin managed to spit out a sentence, “You’re insane! Give us the antidote now, or I’ll kill you! If anything happens to us, the Khan family will tear you apar!”
kyle pretended not to hear him, picking at his ear lazily. After a few minutes, he squinted. “What did you say? I didn’t catch that.”
“You’re asking for death!” Justin roared, though he could barely move. It he weren’t in such agony, he would have leaped forward to strangle Kyle.
At that moment, Kyle reached into his pocket and pulled out a few small pills. “Oh, so you were trying to threaten me
with that, be litted his hand as though about to toss the pills away.
“Wait!” Justin shouted desperately, his pride crumbling.
Alright, fine.”
Finally breaking under the pressure, Justin lowered his head and knocked it against the table. “Satisfied now? Give me the antidote!” Kyle tossed one of the pills away without a word.
–
The message was clear our apology, one pill. If he wasn’t satisfied, he would keep throwing them until they were gone or until they were lett to die in pain. Clenching his teeth in fury, Justin banged his head against the table again. “I’m sorry! It’s my fault! I shouldn’t have hit your table. I was wrong!”
For Justin, this was the ultimate humiliation. As Henderson’s right–hand man, he was someone of status, and now here he was, bowing and apologizing to a table. It was a stain on his reputation he could never erase.
But he had no choice. Justin forced him to endure it, even as cold sweat dripped down his face.
Kyle tossed the pills onto the ground like tossing food to a dog. Justin and the remaining two bodyguards scrambled forwand, practically crawling as they snatched up the pills. Without hesitation, they shoved them into their mouths, not caring about the dirt on the ground.
Kyle hadn’t lied—once the pills were swallowed, the excruciating pain that had felt like being cut apart by lives eased almost immediately,
Gasping for air, Justin sat on the floor, drenched in sweat. After a few moments, he stood up shaldly, his anger flaring again as he pointed at Kyle. “You’re dead! Do you hear me? You dare mess with us? I’ll kill you right here!”
Kyle didn’t even reply. He just fumed to look at Justin with a calm yet incling gaze.
Tiran instant, justin froze, as it struck by lightning. His face turned pale, and the two bodyguards beside him instinctively covered their mouths and noses, terrified of suffering another sound of comment
The bodyguards glared at justin with clear resentment, as it blaming him for provoking Kyle further.
Kyle waved his hand dismissively. “I don’t plan to waste my time on small fries like you, bet lost. Tell your boss to conte find me personally.”
Justin and the bodyguards seethed with fury, but they had no choice. They still had no idea what Kyle was truly capable of, and they weren’t about to risk finding
Fine! You just wait! justin spat aslır stumbled backward, mutung out the door.
The bodyguards grabbed Han
mscious companions and burriedly lett as well, not daring to look back, as if fleeting from a toxic swamps.
Kyle sighed and shook his head with a hint of annoyance “What bad luck. I can’t keep living here. Everyone seems to think they can just barge in like this place is a free–for–all.”
