Chapter 85
In an instant, Henderson’s bodyguards appeared from all directions, easily subduing Belle’s security team.
Belle frowned, realizing she might have underestimated Henderson.
Henderson didn’t physically harm her bodyguards but instead mocked them with a smirk. “With these amateurs? How can they protect you?
“But don’t worry. If you need it, I can provide full protection for you anytime.
“So, what do you say now? Are you willing to be friends with me? I guarantee knowing me won’t be a loss.”
nelle looked at his overly confident expression, her frown deepening in thought. She had never seen him before in Kerdonia, and he clearly wasn’t one of its local elites. He had to be an outsider.
Without understanding his background, she decided not to act too rashly
Belle smiled faintly. “Mr. Khan, grabbing my people and threatening me doesn’t seem like a very friendly gesture, does it?” Seeing her smile, Henderson immediately kicked one of his bodyguards aside. “Let go! Let go! Why are you being so aggressive? D The bodyguard looked aggrieved, but the others quickly released Belle’s team.
Don’t!
Ms. Cotton!”
Belle’s expression softened, her voice calm. “Mr. Khan, you don’t seem like an ordinary person. But I’ve never heard of your name. Whether it’s in Kerdonia or Thalares, there’s no such thing as a Khan family”
“Testing me? Hahaha, how playful. You’re already so eager to know who I am?”
Henderson’s words only deepened Belle’s disgust, though she didn’t let it show.
His confidence couldn’t be unfounded. There had to be something more to him. The next moment, Henderson pulled out a business card and handed it to her again. Belle glanced at it. “Henderson Capital, General Manager
At that, Belle sighed in exasperation, barely holding back from tossing the card.
He was only a general manager?
“Mr. Khan, I don’t think you have time for games,” Belle said as she returned the card, her gaze sharp. It was clear this was his last chance–any more stalling, and she would leave
businesses, but I chose to start
“Everyone needs a title when they’re out and about, right? But to be honest, I’m not much into proper work. My family has its b something on my own. I’ve had a bit of success.”
Henderson narrowed his eyes slightly. “Tell me, Ms. Cotton, have you heard of Heavens Group?”
Belle’s eyes froze the moment he said that,
The Khan last name was common, but a Khan from Heavens Group? That was a different story entirely.
Heavens Group was a top–tier conglomerate in Rhineland, with assets worth hundreds of billions. They were a financial powerhouse.
At that moment, Belle no longer dated to brush Henderson off
She also understood his arrogance. For someone in the Khan family, such behavior was almost justified.
“So, you’re a young master of the Khan family. I truly didn’t recognize greatness when I saw it,” Belle said with a soft sinile. “What brings you to Kerdonia, Mr. Khan? Business or leisure?
Seeing Belle’s attitude shift completely, Henderson felt triumphant,
This was exactly what he wanted that satisfaction of breaking through an icy wall, that thrill of conquering something unreachable.
Women were meant to be won over, after all.
“I’m just here to handle a few matters. Nothing major.”
Henderson grinned mischievously, “It’s good that you know Heavens Group, Ms. Cotton. That makes things easier. We can work together in the future. “Heavens Group is a commercial giant in Rhineland. Even ordinary people know of its influence, letalone those of us in the business world. To work with such a powerhouse would be an honor for me,” Belle replied politely.
She exhaled softly and added, “But unfortunately, Life Pharma isn’t quite qualified for that.”
Belle was self–aware. Lite Plumna might hold some weight in Kerdonia, but Heavens Group was one of Rhineland’s top five conglomerates.
It was worlds apart–like comparing clouds to mud.
To put it bluntly, “collaboration” with Heavens Group wasn’t collaboration at all. If they so much as glanced in her direction, Belle would immediately stand at the peak of Kerdonia’s business world.
