Chapter 9
2000
Jasmine’s POV
Immediately my mate left the house, I quickly shot out of the bed, and followed him discreetly from a safe distance. Just like I thought, he was going to see Mira.
Pathetic. I thought to myself bitterly.
When I got back home, I immediately started packing my things. Beta Richard had lent me his car so I could use. By the time Liam came back, all my bags were already in the car, and I was set to go.
He stared around in astonishment.
“What’s going on?” He asked, looking confused.
I glanced at him over my shoulder with a small smile as I arranged the final bag.
“You broke our deal, and now I’m leaving.” I replied.
“What? How? What are you talking

about?” He stammered as he tried to deny
- it.
“Don’t think of even denying it because I have photos, Liam. I followed you when you left, thinking that I was sleeping. You were always hiding in the bathroom to talk to Mira, you thought I never knew.”
His mouth gaped open and closed like a fish. “You followed me?” He croaked out.
I lifted an eyebrow, “What were you expecting? Of course, I followed you because I knew you couldn’t be trusted.”
He opened his mouth to say something, maybe to defend himself. But I didn‘ t
want to hear it.
I cut him off. “Nothing you say will make me stay. Just accept the rejection, like you promised to.
He shook his head in refusal. “No, no, Jas. I’m sorry. Let’s do the deal again. Mira deceived and made me come, He begged
frantically.

“Yes, Mira did deceive you.” I said with a maniac smirk. “Just like she deceived the
others.”
Liam froze for a moment. “What? What
others?” He asked.
“Karma really is a bitch, huh?” I taunted, handing him the pictures that Kate had sent to me. I had them printed out.
His face paled, and his eyes were wide in disbelief. “No, she can‘ t…. she….. she said she loved me… that I was the only one for her. No! I don‘ t believe it!” He yelled.
“Then don’t” I replied with a nonchalant shrug, “I don‘ t care.”
I walked out, slamming the door behind. me. Liam roared from inside the house, destroying things in the house and cursing. I smirked. Now he knew what he felt like to
be cheated.
I got into the car, and started it with a sigh. It was time for a new chapter of my life.

Chapter 9
Even though Liam had not accepted the rejection, I didn’t bother with it again. The distance between us would strain the mate bond enough. When I reached my parents‘ house in my former pack, they welcomed me with open arms, and when I told them the full story of my experience with Liam, they rained curses on him.
My mother gave me a warm embrace as she sobbed. “You didn’t deserve any of these from that scumbag!”
Meanwhile my father swore that he would make sure the mate bond was broken.
