Jasmine’s POV
My parents were very supportive of me throughout my stay with them, until I finally decided to move to the human world to pursue my dreams of being a fashion designer.
Kate called me frequently to give me updates on all that was happening.
After I had left, Liam had stormed into
Mira’s house and had beaten her to
almost to the point of death, as he had allowed his wolf to take over in his rage. After several attempts to save her life, Mira died as the damage was too much. After Mira’s death, Liam had become even more violent and unhinged, and the pack members were getting more wary of him. He was no longer fit to be an alpha.
A month after, I got a summons from the alpha king to come back to Liam’s pack.

It turned out that my father and Beta Richard had found a way to get the alpha

king to intervene in the pack issues and my bond with Liam.
When I went back, I almost didn’t recognize Liam again. He was unshaven, his hair was unkempt, and he stank awfully. Immediately I entered the room, his eyes brightened, and he began to sob, dropping to his knees in front of me. “Oh my darling, Jas. I’m so sorry. Please come back, I can’t do without you.” He begged.
As I stared at him, I didn’t feel any form of sympathy for him. All I could feel was disgust as I stared at him. He deserved everything he was going through. He brought it upon himself with his own actions.
“I heard you killed Mira,” I stated coldly. He flinched, and his eyes darkened in rage.
“I don’t want to ever hear that name!”
He roared.

“But I thought she was your one true love.” I taunted.
He shook his head fiercely. “No, you are. Mira was just a demon sent from hell. It was all her fault. But now, she’s gone. We’re free to be together, no Mira to come between us. We can have another child that we’ll love and take care of together.”
I snorted in amusement, rolling my eyes. “Liam, we are over. I’m just here so we can get rid of this bond. You have refused to accept the rejection all this while, and it’s affecting you. Look what you‘ ve become.”
His eyes darkened. “No, you‘ re not getting rid of anything! We belong together!” He bellowed.
It was at that moment the alpha king cleared his throat with a frown on his face, and Liam flinched.
The alpha king was a man in his mid–fifties

with a strict expression on his face and a commanding presence that no werewolf, not even alphas could ignore.
After a long process, the alpha king finally forced Liam to accept the rejection. Liam howled and sobbed in pain for several minutes. He had to be restrained from trying to approach me.
With the blessing of the alpha king, Beta Richard challenged him for the alpha‘ s position, and because of Liam’s pathetic. state, Richard won easily. Liam didn’t
take the loss well and attacked Richard.
When he was finally subdued, he was locked up in a cell so that he wouldn’t
harm others.
A month later, Kate called to tell me that Liam had killed himself in the cell.
Meanwhile, the human world became my home, and my newly opened fashion house thrived immensely.
It wasn’t easy, but it was satisfying.

Sometime later, I sat and began reminiscing about my past, and a smile spread across my lips as I realized that I was finally free – I was at peace now. I didn’t the darkness of my past stop me from progressing. Life was more
refreshing, and everything just seemed so much brighter.
For the first time in a long time, a sense of contentment spread through me. My life was finally mine.
