Meredith finally stopped thinking about Joshua tier some coming from Luke.
Actually, their was now something else plaguing Meredity’s mind, and it had to do with Luke.

That was how they somehow ended up sleepling together.
At first, Meredith wanted to pretend as though nothing had happened between them. After all, they were both adults, so it wasn’t much of a huge deal.

For the few days after that, Meredithnever walked a single step in her house. Lake would just carry her wherever she wanted to go.

Meredith was basically teetering on the verge of consciousness and unconsciousness for the rest of the day
After waking up again, she tugged on his hand and mumbled, “I feel a lot better now. But your company.”
Lake was preparing to move the businesses he still had in his home country to Newland. He was supposed to be busy at work these few days, but because he was taking care of her, he just worked from home instead.
He chuckled in response and leaned down to kiss Meredith on her forehead. Then, he said gently, “Don’t worry about it. If the people at the without me around, then they might as well not come to work anymore,

Meredith was starting to get a little tipsy. She let herself loose and started bugging Lake, wanting him to pluck our star from the sky for her.

The next time Meredith woke up, she realized that she was sleeping in the camper van they’d rented. Next to her, Luke was talking to someone on the phone in a deep voice.
Sering that she was awake, Luke kissed the hand Meredithreached out toward him and grinned widely
“Awake now? Let’s go and get you your star.”
Meredith gut drunk easily. She was also the type who would forget everything she did while she was drunk after waking up the next morning.
So, she glanced at Luke in confusion
Luke just hung up and looked at her mysteriously.

To give Meredith the prettiest star he could find, Luke had called up his jewellerford, Azure Easton, early in the moming to reserve a few sets of celestial- Insploed jewelry. He had just been waiting for her to wake up so that they could go and “collect” the stars.
Luber and Meredith were very happily greeted by Azure at the door. They then waited on the couch while the maids brought out some coffee and snacks for them. Finally, Azure brought out the sets of jewelry Luke reserved and placed them right in front of Meredith…
Every piece of the the jewelry was entrusted with priceless precious stones in various shades of colors. They shone brilliantly under the light
Meredith had seen plenty of shimmering stones and diamonds in fine jewelry before, but none of them could even hold a candle to the pieces that were now right in front of her.

Meredith had initially wanted to ask Luke for his opinion, but now, she could only deliberate about her choices by herself.

The whole was made with pure, dark blue sapphires, but it was the necklace that caught her eye.
The sapphires had been delicately woven into the necklace in multiple places, making the entire pace look like the stilky Way that was shining with a dozen bollin stars the galaxy.

Meanwhile, the pendant was a delicate flower made of white gold with a sapphire stone set in the center. It looked like a beautiful flower in full bloom that mesmerized anyone who looked at it.
Luke cocked his eyebrow before taking out the necklace and putting it around Meredith’s neck. His eyes brightened in a pleasant surprise. “This necklace suits you so well.”
