So, you are going to work with Benedetta!” Mrs Armstrong speaks through the phone as Spencer grabs the glass of wine.

“I don’t care!” He said, sitting on the couch.
“You seem exhausted. Is it hard to see your ex–woman with another man?” She chuckles as if it’s funny.
“No. It’s amazing that she doesn’t have to deal with some Not–So–Good, being–controlled–loser’s shits!” He gulps the whole wine together and pours again before responding to his mother with sarcasms in his tone.
Mrs Armstrong takes a moment of silence before leaving a soft sigh,” Son! I don’t like that tone. What’s wrong? Also I heard – You ordered to kill Luna’s personal Beta? Any reason for that?”
Spencer scoffs a bit before responding, “I thought you didn’t mind if I kill people. Shouldn’t you be happy that I don’t want to see Jasmine as my Luna? You want Benedetta back, don’t you?”
“I never said that. Benedetta was fine but Jasmine is still your Luna!” She tries to defend herself.
“It’s seriously hilarious.” He holds the glass of wine before his eyes, shaking constantly.
“David! I hate that tone. Talk to your mother properly. Day after day you are getting out of control! Are you drunk? I am already disappointed that you let such a huge project slip away from our hands. What are you doing? Stop being useless and get a grip. Damn! How could I give birth to such a spineless Alpha? Here is his father, A monster is trying to take away my Pack. If you can’t get a grip and protect the Pack, I swear, I will disown you. Such uselessness!”
Spencer remains silent and listens to her words. Each of them, properly.

‘Don’t act innocent, mother. Benedetta was stupid enough to fall for your acting but I am your son. I know you better than anyone does.”
“Lol!” Mrs Armstrong scoffs, ” You told me that she was the one who did everything. How did it become my problem? Also it’s your personal life. I don’t care!”
Spencer looks defeated as he presses his nose, “I got a lot of vindictive bitches in my life!” He laughs hysterically and throws the glass against the wall,
Fuck! Mother. You won. If something happens to my kids, I am telling you, as your son who has your blood and as the Alpha whose power is way above anyone’s- I will destroy the entire pack. That you cherish so much! Including you”

“Fine. Be sure you don’t mess up. If you follow my orders, I will grant you what you want. I am repeating, David. Don’t make a mistake by going against me. It won’t be good!”
“Whatever!” He grabs a piece of glass and stabs it in his arm.

His attention shifts to the phone once again,” How did you not know that she was a Half–blood Hycan?”
“What did you say?” He frowns…

“Benedetta. Her mother was the last princess of Silver Wolf. Her father is Lycan. As her mate and obviously her husband you should have smelled the difference in her scent.”
Spencer clenches his fist but remains silent.
“Don’t tell me you were unable to smell her scent!? Do you have any –?”
“No. She covered her identity well enough not to find it. Also what kind of the relationship we had, you know better than anyone. So you stop asking me those useless questions!”
He instantly responded while letting his blood drip off his arm.
He doesn’t want anyone else to know about it so that he can only smell her scent. The gentle scent that makes him forget about his life.
“I see. It was a pretty good chance to know. But what can I expect from someone like you? If only I had my first child alive. He was sly like my Dad! What a disappointment!”
Spencer clenches the glass more into his arm with her words. To not feel suffocated, this pain helps him to distract him from everything.
“I have a meeting. I need to go!” He said, hanging up on her.
The fir hild is his mother’s child with her secret lover who died when he was six and two years after her marriage to Mr Armstig. Nobody knows about her secret except for Spencer who was the victim of her mental health deteriorating. The perfect doll that she wanted to create to replace her first child.
Spencer grabs a towel and walks towards the bathroom. Vincent’s each word has been playing in his mind. But it’s easy to label people with anything. He doesn’t regret that he behaved like a beast with Benedetta. Probably it was best for her to move on and live a life with another person who will cherish her
The moment he grabs the knob to open the door, the doorbell rings. Unlike others, he has no plans for tonight. Tomorrow the ship will stop at the island. He will go on a solo trip to shake off all the exhaustion.
As he turns with a frown and walks out to open the door, he hears a voice.

Hearing the familiar voice, he rushes to open the door and opens it.

His eyebrows raise with a bit of confusion and surprises. He covers his arm with the towel and takes a few seconds before answering, “Yes! What brings you here? Lycan King!”
Clint grins when Spencer calls him Lycan. Only Spencer is the one who dares to call him Lycan King. And he enjoys it. “Wanna join us? It’s a BBQ party. Alpha Benefort will be there as well. It will be fun!”
