“Weren’t you sitting there just now?” Tiffany turned to look at the large office chair. Only then did she realize that another man was sitting there.
Tiffany instantly froze. “Mr. Stewart?”
Charles Stewart had been a long–term business partner of Lewis Group, and he was Vincent’s good friend
too.
He didn’t usually visit the company, but Tiffany had seen him from afar a few times before. She remembered him because of his good looks
It seemed that she had mistaken Charles for Vincent!
Hadn’t everything she had said been in vain?
Vincent was holding a document. He looked like he had just come back from a meeting. His eyes fell on Tiffany’s face. When he saw her red eyes, he felt his heart ache. +
Immediately, he glanced at the man sitting on the office chair. With an unfriendly look, he asked, “Why did. you bully her?”
Charles raised his hands in surrender. “That’s not true. I didn’t say a word just now.”
Clearly, Vincent didn’t believe him. He looked at Tiffany inquiringly.
Tiffany couldn’t hide her awkwardness. She hurriedly said, “Mr. Lewis, he didn’t bully me. I was the one who mistook him for someone else…”
Mistook him?
“Were you looking for me?” Vincent asked her. He couldn’t help but soften his tone.
“Yeah. Did I cause any trouble today, Mr. Lewis? I’m sorry…” Facing him, she lowered her head deeply.
Vincent frowned upon seeing her response. He said, “You didn’t.”
“Really?” Tiffany was still worried.
Vincent felt his heart soften. He nodded and said, “Yes. The contract has been signed. There are still some follow–up matters with our deal with Mr. Wilson Just. don’t be absent next time.”
“Next time?” Tiffany was stunned. Was she given a second chance?
Smiling, Vincent said, “You’re forgiven this time.”
“Thank you, Mr. Lewis!” Tiffany was over the moon. She nearly bumped into the door as she headed out.
Vincent couldn’t help but smile as he watched her When he turned around, he met Charles‘ contemplative gaze. “Is that your type?”
Vincent put on his usual cold face again. Placing the document on the table, he poured himself some water to drink. “Why are you free to meet me today?”
1 came to ask you for a favor.
Vincent looked on guard. “What is it?”
It’s my sister.” Helpless, Charles scratched his head You know she likes you. Since she can’t take you out for a date herself, she pestered me for a long time and made me ask you instead. 1

“Why don’t you just entertain her and go for once? What if you suddenly get attracted to my sister and become interested in her?”
Vincent glanced at him. “I can’t bully my friend’s own sister.”

“I wouldn’t mind that.” Charles placed bother to hide the calculative look on his face.
“If you were to become my brother–in–law, my parents would have nothing to pick on about you. Our whole family welcomes you. What do you think about that?”
Putting his teacup down, Vincent removed his hand quietly. “Not Interested.”
“Please, just help me out. Or she’ll keep hagging me when I get back home. I really can’t take it anymore.”
There was no change of expression on Vincent’s face. “I can’t help you.”
“Why? Give me a good reason.”
Pausing for a second, Vincent said, “I have a girlfriend now.”
Charles didn’t even hesitate before blurting out, “Impossible! You’d kill any female being, even a female mosquito! How could you possibly have a girlfriend?”
“Believe it or not, it’s true.” Vincent didn’t look like he was joking in the slightest.
Stroking his chin, Charles thought about it for a long while. “You really have one?”
Without looking up, Vincent answered decisively, “Yeah.”
“Is it the shy assistant from just now?” Charles pointed at the door,
Vincent frowned. “No.”
“Who is it, then?” Charles looked intrigued.
“You wouldn’t know her.”
