“Is it that disgusting for you to see me happy!” Charlotte asked as soon as Lily walked out of the bathroom stall.

“Whose Dad?” Libe asked, arching a hrow and Charlotte looked at her as if she has lost her mind.

“Last I checked, the sand Dad said he was a father of mine: So I have no idea what you are saying, who you are talking about or why they think they have any authority over me: Charlotte’s eyes widened and the only possible conclusion she could come up with was that Lily has gone mad. Labe derived a strange satisfaction from the confused look on Charlotte’s face and she smiled. “Congratulations on your second wedding. I hope this one won’t be a fature and an embarrassment… Again. Her words pierced Lily’s heart, but she maintained a cool composure till she walked out of the bathroom into Angelica’s waiting arms. She had wanted to follow Ley into the bathroom, but Charlotte had locked the door the second she walked in after pushing her out of the way.

Lily’s eyes searched the hallways as they made their way to the garage She longed to catch a glimpse of Asher again, but he was nowhere to be found, and it hurt more than she expected. She thought he would have come after her seeing that she was sick, but he didn’t even lift a finger.
“He’s not worth the wheels turning in your head currently, Lily. Angelica said as she helped Lily into the car, and Lily instantly opened her mouth to defend herself but no words came out. Ill drive us to the hospital for the check up first, you can’t go to the mansion in this current situation” Lily didn’t bother fighting back and just nodded. She knew she needed the checkup, it was definitely way more than the thought of them together
They made it to the hospital in no time and luckily for them, they were attended to swifily.
“What did the doctor say?” Lily asked as soon as Angelica walked out of the doctor’s office.
Angelica gave a tight–lipped smile and made herself comfortable beside Lily. “He said I have to conduct another series of tests, particularly because I’m yet to experience any severe symptoms. I’m so scared, Lily. I’m really so scared.”
Lily immediately faced her squarely and grabbed her hands. “I understand how you must feel, Angelica, but you’re not alone, okay? I am going to be here with you every step of the way, and I will do everything humanly possible to make sure you’re not in so much pain, okay?
Angelica lips turned slightly downward as she smiled softly, thank you.”
Lily winked at her before adjusting properly on their chair, and she didn’t for once, let go of Angelica’s hand. Occasionally giving it a reassuring squeeze as they both sat in silence, their minds conjuring up different thoughts
Lily was anxious, very very anxious as to what her results would say. She wanted to take the test and come back another day for the results, but her curiously and anxiety had gotten the best of her so she insisted on getting it today, and now she was regretting it. Every second she sat in the waiting room was filled with her mind coming up with something new that could be found in her body, and each of them resulted in death.
She closed her eyes and took a brath. It should be nothing, there was absolutely no reason to panic. She would be fine

forced smile, she took the results from the nurse and muttered an inaudible thank you, which the nurse must have picked up on because she smiled as she walked away.
Ready to hear your test results?” She glanced at the envelope in her shaky hands, and this time around it was her hand that got a squeeze. “Come on, there is a high chance it’s nothin, Lily. Let’s go.”
She wanted to retort by saying there was still a chance it was something serious, but decided against it last minute and they both walked over to the doctor’s office.
Good day, doctor. I’m miss Lily Morgan
The doctor smiled warmly at them, and offered them seats. You can just call me, Mrs Brown. I’ll read your test out of you, okay?“. Lily smiled and nodded, and Mrs Brown quickly pulled up hdr test results and as she went through it, she didn’t know if she was to smile at the report or not.
Finally, she cleared her throat and turned to Lily. “Congratulations malam, you’re pregnant.”
