Throughout the ride home, her brain swirled with all the info she got today, from Angelica’s report to her mother’s unusual plea, and all she wanted to do was find a hole and crawl in there, away from all this. She suddenly missed the times she lived like an invisible being, it was sad but it was peaceful, and to think she craved otherwise back then.
She exhaled loudly as she pulled into her home. What if Asher says he won’t sign the divorce papers like the first time? How on earth will she pester him to do it? And knowing her father, he would go to extreme measures to ensure he gets what he wants.
“That’s enough thinking for one day. Lily.” She muttered as she got out of the car and walked in. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at the unusual calmness of the house. Ever since she brought the helps back, there were always sounds of chatters around, although barely audible but it was there Today, however it was unusually quiet.
