He snarled, “Watch your mouth, I don’t mind teaching you how to speak!”
His chest heaved, his furious aura threatening to drown me in resentment.
He continued to rant, “You put Lily up to doing something so vicious, you
don’t know Raina’s allergic? How could you be so evil? And now you want your
five–year–old daughter to be your accomplice? You call yourself a mother?”
His every accusation was like a heavy stone crushing my heart, making it
hard to breathe.
His spittle flew, landing on my face, mixing with my tears as they streamed
down my cheeks.
I covered my face, staring at him in disbelief. This man, who shared my bed,
was now a complete stranger, a demon.
Raina, with her frail appearance, played the victim, sobbing softly, looking
at John with pitiful eyes, saying nothing, yet silently fueling his
rage.
I looked at her, my anger boiling over. I pointed at her and shouted, “Stop
pretending to be pitiful, my daughter is gone, and you still want to slander her,
how dark is your heart?”
Raina’s sobs intensified as she hid behind John, as if I was a beast about to

John, enraged, pushed me away, shielding Raina, and yelled at me, “Look at

I stumbled from his shove, almost falling, but I held onto Lily’s urn, my last
source of support.
I screamed at him, “You don’t deserve to be a father, my daughter is innocent,
and you’re slandering her, are you even human?”
He glared at me, his eyes bloodshot, and shouted, “You told Lily to pour a
whole bottle of alcohol into Raina’s skincare products, don’t you know she’s
allergic? How could you be so vicious? And now you want your five–year–old
daughter to take the blame? You call yourself a mother?”
Each of his accusations was like a heavy stone weighing on my heart,
suffocating me.
