Chapter 91
Abigail was great at making sure I stayed by her side, and I knew there was no escaping when I saw this call.
I understood that if I didn’t answer, she would keep calling until I picked up.
So, I had no choice but to answer. “What do you want?”
I had thought Abigail was going to bring up the incident between her and Blair.
However, to my surprise, Abigail simply said, “Come downstairs and get in the car.”
Those few words made my brows furrow, and I wanted to refuse, But Abigail didn’t give me the chance to decline as she hung up immediately.
With no other choice, I had to comply and go downstairs to find her.
As soon as I got into the car, Abigail didn’t say anything and just started driving.
I looked at her helplessly and asked, “Where are you taking me?”
“You’ll find out when we get there.”
Abigail’s voice was icy, showing no emotion at all.
I looked at her calmly and replied, “You’re not going to say a word to me, and you expect me to just go with you?
“Abigail, when are you going to change that bossy attitude of yours?”
Abigail remained silent and pressed the accelerator, driving to a shopping mall’s entrance.
She said in an assertive tone, “Get out of the car.”
Her tone made me feel like a dog being commanded, which made me very uncomfortable.
Back in the day, her word was law.
But now, I didn’t want to waste any more time on her.
“If you’re not going to say anything, then I’m leaving.‘
I looked at her coldly and held the door handle, preparing to get out.
However, Abigail grabbed my hand, her tone serious as she said, “Samuel, you don’t have the right to talk to me like that. You know the consequences if you refuse.”
I froze, instinctively thinking about Kayla and her sick friends.
She could stop paying for Kayla’s medical bills and halt her donations for her friends‘ treatments.
Next time, she mij in do something even more trageret to hurt those teared about
I couldn’t risk their eve as a wager against Abig
so, i had no choke but to comply with her demands. I quickly get out of the car and stood by the side, waiting for her
Abigail seemed very pleased with my actions
She smiled faintly, and when she looked at me, for expression was calm.
She nodded and waved her hand, saying, “Let’s go. You’d better not think about running away. Otherwise, you won’t be able to bear the consequences.”
I didn’t say a word and followed her like a puppet as we walked into a high–end custom men clothing store.
As soon as
as we entered, the staff enthusiastically greeted her, waving and smiling as they said, Ms. Abigail, welcome! What kind of suit would you like to customize today?”
Abigail sat on the sofa, pointing at me as she told the staff, “Make him a proper suit, the most expensive one.”
The staff looked at me in surprise, unable to believe that Abigail would bring me here.
I could easily understand why the staff showed such an expression.
Previously, she always brought Joshua with her.
Whether it was major events, ceremonies, or cocktail parties, he was always seen with her in public.
People thought of him as her true love.
But now…
How could they not be stunned by me, her actual husband, suddenly appearing?
