Chapter14
Jordan was responsible for taking me home.
I kept crying and couldn’t walk properly. After getting out of the car, he carried me in his
arms.
I’m so tired. I have to work every day. When will it ever end?”
“Yesterday, a customer threw wine all over me. It was so unfair. It wasn’t even my
fault.”
“Jordan, I want to eat salmon and shrimp. I’ve almost forgotten what they taste like,” I cried.
The alcohol was making me ramble.
Jordan patiently comforted me, but I didn’t take in anything he said.
My last memory was of him placing me on his couch.
He asked me, “What’s so good about that guy?”
I mumbled back, “He’s helping me pay off my debts.”
“I can too, Hannah. I’m better than he is. I know what you like and dislike. I know how to make you happy. Hannah, I’m begging you, please don’t disappear again, okay?”
After that, I don’t remember anything.
The next day, I woke up in Jordan’s bed.
I was not wearing anything.
