Chapter 96
It was Jacob. He gripped the door frame and kept Eloise from closing it. At the same time, he was glaring at her.
Floise frowned “Do you need anything?”
Jacobi didn’t respond to her. He didn’t even blink
She took a deep breath and said, “I’m going to call the police if you don’t make yourself scarce,”
Jacob was even more furious when be heard what she said. He immediately swung his fist and struck the wall.
“Why are you acting like a lunatic in front of my door at this time of night?” Eloise was pissed off too.
“It’s about the old house your parents owned. I bought it to give it to you in the first place!” Jacob spoke through gritted teeth,
“But you didn’t. Instead, you kept blackmailing me with it.” Eloise snrered.
“I would’ve given it to you eventually.”
“Are you even listening to yourself? Don’t you think you sound absurd?”
Jacob rubbed his hair in frustration. “I would’ve given it to you, but you shouldn’t have asked Wills to take it away from me!
“W–What right did he have to do something like that? You sold the house for me. It’s proof that you love me. He didn’t deserve it!”
Eloise shook her head, feeling speechless. Jacob had to have drunk liquor, and he must’ve drank a lot too. For God’s sale, he was speaking nonsense.
“You seem to have forgotten that we’ve broken up, Jacob William and I are legally married. He’s not an outsider. He’s my husband!”
“Shut up, Eloise!!!
“You’re crazy.” Eloise gave Jacob a shove. She was about to close the door, but he stuck his foot in again. She decided to let go of it and pulled out her phone to call the security of the building.
“I need some help. I’m at villa number eight, and there’s a drunk harassing me here.” Afterward, Eloise hung up the call and folded her arms as she looked at Jacob.
His eyes became bloodshot. He was probably pissed off by her making that phone call,
“I–I’m sure you married William just to get back at me
“It doesn’t matter why I married him. The point is, we’re married, and we love each other.

Jacob glared at Eloise. Then, something occurred to him, and his gaze became hollow. “There are no antacids.”
Jacob paused briefly before he said, “I mean, there are no antacids at my place.”
“What does that have to do with me?”
“I don’t have antacids at my place, and my stomach isn’t feeling well.”
“How does that concern me?”
Jacob whipped his head up and glared at Eloise. “I told you my stomach isn’t feeling well. Aren’t you supposed to get me some antacid?”
Flose perled. “Yeah, I would’ve gotten you some antacids. However, you’ve just had alcohol. So, you can’t take it immediately.
“Instead, I’m going to make you my special herbal soup. It’s going to take a while for it to cook. While we wait, I’ll massage your belly to help with the
discomfort.
“Now that you’re suffering from the physical discomfort, you might feel upset. So, I’m going to patiently soothe you and make sure you feel nice and

As Eloise said the last part of her sentence, she couldn’t resist chuckling. “Is that what you want to hear?”
Jacoli pursed his lips. There was hope in his eyes.
“It won’t happen again, Jacob. Not in this lifetime.”
Jacob’s fists immediately clenched as he glared at Eloise menacingly. At that moment, two security guards sprinted over. Meanwhile, she merely stared at him quietly.
Once Jacob was sure he wouldn’t be able to get any affection or care from Eloise, he hung his head and took a step back.
“You’re the one who needs to wake up and face reality, Eloise. William is a wealthy and powerful man. Why would he ever have feelings for someone as unremarkable as you?”
Chapter 36
“It’s exactly because William is the way he is. He’s different from you, Jacob.” Eloise protested. “He’s going to dump you. It’s just a matter of time.”
