Chapter 68
The other two doctors hadn’t dared to take charge of the situation, so that left Eloise
After almost seven hours in the operating theatre, it was a miracle that both Leela and her baby could be saved.
After that, Leela always visited Eloise at the hospital with Jojo, so Jojo got familiar with Eloise
Eloise toased lejo, and be wanted her to carry him once he recognized her.
“Look at me first. I’m your godfather!” said William and turned Jojo to face him.
However, Jojo struggled to get into Eloise’s aTIIS.
Elise carried him and kissed his forcheal
“You’re Jojo’s godfather?” asked Eloise,
“Self–declared,” said William.
Elise smiled and said, “Doesn’t that make me Jojo’s godmother?”
“You bet,” said William
They played with Jojo for a while and headed into the restaurant together.
John was busy in the kitchen, but he still came out to congratulate them.
“Order anything you like. It’s my treat,” said John.
William snorted and said, “I wasn’t planning on paying anyway.”
“You’re so shameless. Just like me,” joked John.
They were evidently good friends. However, John was a restaurant chef while William was someone up there in the world.
How had they gotten to know each other?
William passed Jojo to Leela and led Eloise upstairs. The first floor was way tidier than the ground floor.
“John lives here with his family, but I have a room here too,” said William
He led Eloise to the furthest room on the left and opened the door. It was clean and tidy like the rest of the first floor.
It was a small room, but there was a single bed and bookshelt inside. The bookshelf was filled with books.
There were posters of basketball players on the wall and another shelf full of figurines. It was obviously a boy’s room.
“I ran away from home in high school, and John found me. I stayed with him after that,” said William with a smile as he reminisced about those times,
“Me, John, Olly Simpson, and Andrew. We were all just 13 or 14 years old. We had so much fun and got into so much trouble. The only thing we had to fret over was how to fill our tammies,” said William.
Eloise sat down beside him, and he wrapped an arm around her.
“Why did you run away from home?” asked Eloise
“It was because of my father. I wanted to go to music school, but he disapproved. He even broke my guitar. I didn’t understand my parents back then and thought they were interfering with my life. So, I ran away from home. Later on, I regretted it,” said William.
“Why?” asked Eloise
“Andrew was the eldest among us, and he has a sister. One time, his sister got appendicitis and was admitted to the hospital, She needed money for surgery, but he had none. He didn’t tell us and went to rob someone alone. In the end. The other person stabbed him to death.”
Floise was shocked. She could also feel William trembling and quickly hugged him.
The incident must have been very traumatic for him.
“I went home after that incident and accepted what my family had planned out for me. I finished high school and continued my studies overseas,” said Willum
Eloise didn’t know how to comfort him, so she leaned forward and kissed him on the clin
William lowered his head at the same time and kissed her lips. He laughed and pulled her onto the bed with him.
Try cuddled for a long moment until somebody suddenly knocked on the door.
“Wills, hurry! Olly got into a tight at the warehouse!”
William
diately let go of Eloise and said, “Godownstairs and at first. I’ll be right back”
Eloise had never experienced a fight, and she pulled him back
“Don’t be rash!” said Eloise.
