Chapter 57
After being Quincey’s assistant for a few days, Tumer Entertainment finally arranged for someone to help her. Thus, Eloise didn’t have to be there anymore.
It was just as well–she should start planning her wedding anyway.
“My family is already planning it. I’ll be back in around two weeks. We can set up a meeting for both of our families then. Is that okay?” William texted her.
Eloise was fine with it, of enurse. Just the thought of such a formal meeting scared her a little.
“By the way, the wedding gown is ready. You can try it in the bridal shop tomorrow if you have time”
“Sorry, I couldn’t be there with you.”
“I understand.”
n the third day, Eloise went to the bridal shop using the address William had given her. The sales associate greeted her as soon as she stepped into the shop. After Eloise provided her name, the sales associate sounded even more enthusiastic
“We’ve been expecting you, Ms. Sullivan. Your custom–made wedding gown flew in yesterday. Follow me. You can try it inside. If there’s anything you’re not satisfied with, we’ll alter it as soon as possible.”
“Okay.”
Half an hour later, Eloise walked out of the fitting room.
“Oh, my, how stunning!” the sales associate exclaimed.
Eloise smiled at her. Then, she looked at herself in the minor. She was wearing a royal blue satin wedding gown with a V–neck, adorned with thousands of diamond chips that shimmered like stars in the galaxy, radiating a luxurious sparkle.
Her curly hair was loosely tied up with a hairband embellished with blue crystals, complementing the wedding gown perfectly, as if she were a princess from the fairytale, leaving everyone in awe.
This is Mrs. White’s final piece of design before she retires. It was supposed to be our store’s centerpiece, but Mr. Huntington’s sincerity moved her. Eventually, she agreed to sell this wedding gown.
“Besides, Mrs. White altered the gown again to fit your measurements, Ms. Sullivan. It really is a unique and valuable piece to collect,”
The sales associate was very excited to see the wedding gown wom by such a perfect person.
Eloise lowered her head and gently caressed the wedding gown. It was very delicate, indeed.
“Eloise?”
Upon hearing someone call her by her name, she tumed around, only to see Sophia walk in, linking her an
“it really is you! I thought I was seeing things”
arms with Jacob. They were surprised to see Eloise here.
Sophia tugged at Jacob as they walked over to Eloise. She chuckled the moment she saw how Eloise was wearing a wedding gown. “What a coincidence! You didn’t come here after hearing that we’re going to try on our wedding attires today, did you?”
Eloise ignored her and continued to admire her wedding gown.
Are you still mad, Eloise? You misunderstood us back on the island. But whatever. We just hope you can watch what you say in front of Mrs. Kilbourne in case you
use any trouble for us,”
Sophia let out a sigh as she finished her sentence, sounding as though she was so big–hearted
“Ms. Whitmore, correct?Your wedding gown has arrived. Please follow me.”
Sophia nodded in reply. After she mentioned it to Jacob, she followed the sales associate into the fitting room.
Eloise and Jacob were the ones left standing in front of the minor. She was wearing a wedding gown, and he just happened to have a black suit on. They could see each other through the mirror.
Jacob frowned. “Are you expecting me to compliment you in the wedding gown?”
Eloise was at a loss for words. “Why would I do that?”
“You’re very beautiful, indeed.”
Eloise went speechless.
Jacob exhaled deeply.
y.“But if you’re thinking of marrying me this way, it’s impossible.”
Upon hearing his words, Eloise was dumbfounded. She tumed to look at Jacob. “Are you out of your mind?”
“What else could it be, then? We’re here to try on our wedding attires today, and you came, too, wearing a wedding gown. Is it really a coincidence for me to see you here today?”
“It really is a coincidence.”
“I’ve been thinking a lot, Eloise.”
“About what?”
