Chapter 54
Group B’s set was close to Group C’s, and for some reason, they started coming over to drink Eloise’stea, ton. The crew felt more like friends hanging out, but since things were nonning efficiently, the directors didn’t say anything.
“I asked you to be my assistant because I was afraid,” Quincey told Eloise as she leaned in
“Afraid?” Eloise was making tea and turned to glance at Quinery when she heard this.
“Before I got married, I joined a group, and there was a high–ranking actress who loved bullying new people. I was the one she targeted.”
“With your temper, how could you be bullied?
“She had powerful connections and ruthless methods. I was tormented to the point that I forgot all about my temper. After filming that project, I didn’t want to act anymore, so I got married and left the industry. I was worried about encountering another set of crew like that.”
“This one is great. I see you’re getting along well with the crew and other actors.”
“That’s because of you. You helped me fit in, and thanks to your effort, everyone was willing to help me when I didn’t do well in a scene.”
Eloise finished brewing the tea and poured a cup for her.
“Since it’s off to a good start, don’t overthink it. Just focus on acting. Bemember, I’ll always be here for you no matter what happens. I’ll help you.
“Eloise, you’re really the best!”
Quincey hugged her. She huffed. “It’s Jacob’s biggest loss of life that he gave you up.”
“Please don’t mention him. He disgusts me.”
was going smoothly in Group C, but things weren’t as easy in Group A, and they almost had to halt production.
Everything was
Lawrence came to tell Eloise that the entire Group A was in a bad mood. Stanley heard about the tea stand and thought it was interesting, so he wanted her to come
over and brew tea to help cool them down.
Eloise nodded. “Okay.”
Lawrence quickly clasped his hands together to thank her. “Quincey is so lucky to have an assistant like you, Thungs will go well from here on out.
Eloise smiled, “I wouldn’t go that far, but I’ll try my best to support Quincey.”
“Definitely.”
Group A was at the other end of the filming base. After Eloise arrived, she set up the tea stand and began brewing tea.
“Cut! Cut! The eye contact is wron
is wrong, and the e
emotions are off! You’re sisters, not enemies–even if you’re at odds. Don’t look at each other with hatred!” Eloise looked over and thought that the person behind the monitor had to be Stanley. She remembered that he was in his 50s, but his hair had already turned white. He was tall and heavyset. After scolding them, he rubbed his temples and had the two actresses think about what he said.
At that moment, Maureen walked out of the studio in costume. Eloise fraze for a moment, realizing she was also in this production.
Maureen saw her and quickly walked over. She scoffed and said, “You’ve even set up your tea stand in Group A now. You really can’t stop embarrassing yourself. You’ll do anything for attention”
Eloise poured a cup of tea and placed it in front of her. “You’ve been scolded, huh? Drink some tea to cool down.”
“You!” Maureen’s face darkened. Seeing other actors approaching, she quickly thought of something and introduced Eloise to them.
“This is Eloise. She’s just an assistant, but she’s got some tricks up her sleeve. She used all kinds of methods and even slept with Mr. Robinson to get her friend into this group.”
As soon as she said that, everyone turned their attention to Eloise.
Maureen picked up the cup of tea Eloise had poured for her and threw it on the ground.
“Her tea probably reeks of cheap perfume, doesn’t it?”
