Chapter 53
Jacob looked at Eloise with a stem face, seemingly thinking she wouldn’t dare to speak up.
It was Sophia who pulled Lily and said, “She just can’t accept the fact that Jacob and I are getting married. Forget about her.”
Eloise nodded. This was exactly what they had forced her inte
“Are you so sure she’s pregnant with Jacob’s child?”
The moment she said that, it was as it a bomb had been dropped.
Jacob immediately shouted, “Eloise, shut up!”
Sophia troze for a second, then quickly berated, “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Lily widened her eyes and said, “How dare you say something like that… You…”
Eloise raised an eyebrow. “You don’t browse the Internet, do you? You don’t know about her and Shawn?
“I told you to shut up!” Jacob shouted again, with veins popping out on his forehead.
“How could you slander me like this? You’re going too far!” Sophia cried
“Come out! I’ll tear your mouth apart!” Lily yelled.
ut this on trending for you.”
“Ah, are you all ganging up to bully one person?” Quincey pulled out her phone and started recording. “Hold on. I’ll put They hadn’t even gotten off the trending list yet. How could they dare to go back on? Especially Sophia, who hurriedly pushed Lily toward the house. “Forget it. We won’t stoop to her level.”
Floise sneered and called after them, “Just a reminder to the Kilboume family–DNA tests can be done before the baby’s born!”
She watched them go into the house, closed the gate behind them, and then quickly ran inside. Only then did Quincey put her phone away and burst into laughter.
“They’re really funny!
Quincey laughed for a while before turning to Floise. “Did you see that? Next time they try to bully you, just hit them where it hurts!”
The custom furniture for the whole house had been installed, and the appliances would soon be delivered. Benjamin told her to stay outside for a few days to let the formaldehyde clear out.
Coincidentally, Eloise would be accompanying Quincey to the set the next few days.
Stanley’s project was quite urgent. On the first day, they simply did a quick shoot and then immediately began filming. The crew was split into three groups, with the main leads in Group A, and Quincey, a minor character, in Group C
Since Quincey had fewer scenes, Eloise’s assistant work was minimal. She occasionally coordinated with the assistant director or helped the crew clean up the set, and she also served tea.
This season was dry, and the actors had irregular schedules, often working through the night. They couldn’t avoid getting dry skin or throat issues, and sometimes, it even affected filming
While preparing moisturizing tea for Quincey, Eloise would also make some f
for the other actors, even customizing blends based on their health.
The actors all said it worked, and soon, the word spread. Staff members started asking her for tea, too,
Eloise thought it would be a good idea to set up a tea stand in Group C. She had about ten different blends for dry throats, dry skin, irritability, large pores, nosebleeds, frizzy hair, and more.
The shooting was led by a 40–something assistant director named Lawrence Kings, whose lungs weren’t in great shape. He’d been coughing ever since filming started, and his condition was getting worse even though he was on medication.
Eloise took his pulse and prepared a special teablend for him. After drinking it for four or five days, his cough stopped, and he felt more refreshed. His skin even became smooth and fair.
Lawrence was quite strict and often scolded the actors and staff, but when he saw Eloise, he always smiled, and his attitude toward Quincey softened, too.
Group Chad a harmonious atmosphere. After finishing their scenes, everyone would gather around the tea stand to chat with Eloise about tea and wellness. They also asked her for advice whenever they had any discomfort since they knew she was a gynecologist.
