Chapter 49
Everyone was stunned, especially Maureen, Sophia, and Jacobs,
They had said she wasn’t qualified to be at the party, that she was a down and that she was embarrassing and should be locked out. But what gave them the right? Liam was the real host here.
The host was paying respect to Eloise, and who were they to judge her?
Eloise didn’t like the occasion, nor did she like dancing, but she did enjoy seeing the three of them flustered. So, she walked toward Liam under everyone’s gaze.
Liam extended his hand gentlemanly. “Ms. Sullivan, thank you for gracing me with your presence.”
Eloise took his hand. “I might step on your foot.”
“Then, be gentle.”
Eloise couldn’t help but laugh, thinking back to when he had been rolling on the ground, holding his left leg in pain.
“you’d better forget that image.”
“I’ll try.”
They danced for a while, and then others joined in. At that point, Maureen and Jacob, as dance partners, walked over to them.
“Liam, it’s my birthday today. Don’t you want to invite me for a dance?” Maureen pouted.
Liam glanced at Maureen “I already lent you my house for the party, and now, you want me to dance with you?”
“Just one dance formy sake.” Maureen’s face darkened.
“Why should I care about you?
“Then, why are you dancing with her? Who is she?”
“She’s my distinguished quest. Can you compare?”
Maureen’s face completely crumpled, and she stormed off, leaving Jacob behind.
Jacob frowned, looking at the two of them “Mr. Robinson, do you mind if I dance with Ms. Sullivan?”
Liam looked at Eloise. “Ms. Sullivan, would you like to dance with him?”
Eloise sneered. “I’m probably not worthy, right?”
“That’s right. He’s Mr. Kilbourne.”
“He’s high and mighty.”
“Arrogant.”
The two of them exchanged barbs, and jacob couldn’t hold his face any longer. He stormed off,
Eloise felt much better now.
“Huh? You’re wearing a ring.” Liam noticed the ring on her hand, and his gaze deepened.
“I’m getting married soon.”
“Who’s that lucky to marry Ms. Sullivan?”
“You might know him.”
“I’ll send you an invitation when the time comes if you care to attend.”
She guessed that William might work at Robinson Group and likely held a high position, which was why he could come to the Robinson family’s private island and leave those things behind.
“Actually.” Liam leaped incloser to Eloise. “I quite like you. How about you ditch your flance and have a passionate love affair with me?”
Hearing this, Eloise immediately let go of his hand, but at that moment, she saw the playful look in his eyes.
He was teasing her.
“My fiancé is great. Mr. Robinson might not be able to compare.”
Liam put his hands in his pockets and gave her a sideways glance. “Are you playing hard to get?

“Mr. Robinson, you probably haven’t heard much truth, like how you seem a bit fickle. You’re more suited for being a friend than a husband.”
Liam similed. “So, we’re friends now?” Sure.
