Eloise stared at the simple reply for quite some time.
She had sent him that message earlier simply because she was infuriated by Jacob’s words. He made it sound like his marriage was some grand event, and she was jost some leftover nobody.
She even mentioned that she would get married soon, but he simply laughed at her for being delusional.
Eloise rubbed her temple in frustration, trying to figure out how to fix things.
Just then, she received another message from William. “I’ve talked to my family about the wedding date, and they think it’s a great day.”
Eloise was dumbfounded. She quickly typed, “On second thought, that might not be such a good day after all.”
“Why?”
Eloise took a deep breath before replying, “Because my ex–boyfriend is also getting married that same day.”
“Well then, we’ll just make it a huge celebration and rub it in your ex–boyfriend’s face,” William replied.

Eloise didn’t reply to his message and simply tucked her phone away. She held it rightly in her hands, pressing it close to her heart as if she could do that with William’s words.
Eloise had barely drunk half of the milk when she dozed off to sleep.
By the time Benjamin woke her, they had already arrived at the villa’s entrance.
“Sorry for the trouble tonight,” she said to Benjamin.
Benjamin waved it off and chuckled. “It’s no trouble at all. It’s my job, after all. The more you need me, the more I can eam.”

After Benjamin left, Eloise spotted Jack pulling into the area with Jacob in the passenger seat
Having slept the entire ride, Jacob had started to sober up and got out of the car on his own.
As soon as he saw Eloise, he froze for a moment.
“I thought you had more dignity. You packed your bags and left so decisively that day. Yet, when you have nowhere else to go, you still come crawling back.” Eloise simply ignored him and gave Jack a slight nod. She then turned around and headed into her villa
Only then did Jacob realize what the situation was “Wait. Are you telling me she’s been staying across from me all this time?”
Jack simply nudged him toward the entrance and said, “Yeah. Just open the door and get inside.”
Jacob snickered. “Didn’t she say she wanted to cut all ties with me? Yet here she is, staying right across from me. I told you, she isn’t overme. All that talk about breaking up ate lies. I bet that even after I marry Sophia, Eloise would still come running if I ever asked Eloise to be my side–chick”
“Don’t be delusional. Eloise would never agree to that,” Jack said with a trown.
“Just you wait, I’ll definitely make her fall beneath my feet.”
Jacob stumbled toward the front door and stared at the keypad: “I think the password is the day we officially became a couple. What day was that again?” Jack couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “160805. It’s the same day as Eloise’s birthday.”
“oh, right.”
“Could you just change a password already? just change it to Sophia’s birthday. You’ll surely remember that”
