“Elese, you were absolutely stunning, You totally outshone Sophia, Celia couldn’t help but compliment. “But honestly, anyone with eyes would be able to tell what was going on between you and Jacob. It’s clear who was the homewrecker and who was wronged,”
Cella continued to read the comments, growing angrier. “Have they lost their minds? How dare they say that the picture is edited!”
Eloise had intention of causing a public outcry. All she wanted was for Sophia to clarify things.
“Look! Someone in the picture has commented.” Cella quickly turned the screen to Eloise. “She said that you and Jacob were the golden couple at school. Everyone knew you two were thing.”
Eloise glanced at the commentator and realized that it was quincey Lorwr.
She was Sophia’s classmate and also lack’s girlfriend at the time. But she and quincey had always been more close.
“Look Someone replied to her comment.”
It wasn’t actually a reply but rather three thumbs–up emojia.
Celia clicked on their profile and immediately recognized who they were. It was Jack and Xavier.
She clicked out and noticed that Eloise’s post had risen two spots up the trending list.
She smiled and said, “Looks like a few marketing accounts have already started sharing your post. It’s about to blow up.”
Just as she was enjoying the moment, as she refreshed the page, the post had disappeased from the trending list.
“Huh? Where did it go?”
She scrolled from top to bottom but couldn’t seem to find Eloise’s post.
She sighed. “Sophia’s team sure acts fast.”
Eloise paused briefly before clicking on her page to post another picture.
However, she was surprised to find that her account had been restricted.
some one paid to shat you,” Celia said as she browsed through her phone. “The marketing accounts have deleted their post too.”
Eloise didn’t understand why things had to be so complicated. She just wanted to clear her name. Was that too much to ask for?
“What should I do now?”
Celia patted her back gently, trying to comfort her. “Just forget it. We don’t stand a chance against these celebrities and affluent families.”
Just then, Peter called, asking her to come to the hospital
It was almost time to clock out when Eloise arrived, and Peterhad just exited the office.
“Let’s talk in the elevator, “Priersaid.
Floise followed him i the elevator, and so it was just the two of them inside.

He adjusted his glasses and said, “From tomorrow onward, you don’t have to come to work anymore.”
Eloise frowned, “What do you mean?–
“It’s just temporary, we’ll discuss further when the stormblows over. I hope you understand that the hospital has its own regulations and reputation to maintain. We can’t let one person’s problems affect the entice institution.”
“Everything online is nothing but numers!*
“Whether they are rumors or not, that’s your business. It cannot affect the hospital”
“I’m not asking for your opinion. I’m simply informing you
Eloise clenched her fists. There had been problems betone, but the hospital usually protected its doctors
This time, while it was a personal matter, things had yet to be fully clarified. It wasn’t normal for the hospital to act so quickly,
“Is this Jacob’s idea?”
Peter sighed. “I’ve warned you not to go head–on–head with these affluent people. Things will surely not end well if you do.”
Boise took a deep breath. “The hospital doesn’t have a solid reason to suspend me. It accept the suspension, it will only validate the rumors. Therefore, I will still becoming into work as usual tomorrow.”
“You better go apologize to Mr. Kilbourne!!
“You’re right. I think I should pay him a visit.”
Uponexiting the hospital, Elaise immediately headed to Jack’s bar.
When the walter saw her, he assumed she had made an appointment with Jacob and led her straight to his private room.
“Jacob, what you did is way over the line!” It was Xavi
“It’s none of your business!” Jacob grumbled.
“you and Eloise have been together foreight years. Yet, she’s now being accused of being a homewrecker and is trashed all over the internet. It’s simply unforgivable!
“Shut up!”
“Whatever I’m on Bour’s side on this one.
Eloise took a deep breath before pushing the door open
The room was dimly lit, and only Jacob and Xavier were inside. The coffee table in front of them was pled with unopened bottles of alcohol.
“Eloise, what — what are you doing here?” Xavierasked.
“I’m here to talk to him.” Eloise’s gaze locked onto Jacob.
Jacob slowly looked up at her. But the moment their eyes met, a flicker of guilt flashed across his face, and he immediately lowered his gaze.
“Did you tell Peter to suspend me?” she asked.
Jacob paused before replying, “You can retum to work after the storm blows over!!
“After the storm blows over?” Eloise scoffed. “Do you mean after my reputation has been completely ruined? Or is it after everyone sees Sophia as the victim? is it after you two get married and I’m left as the laughing stock?
“I want you to come forward and clear my name.”
“Not possible.”
Eloise stepped forward, picked up a wine bottle, and slammed it down onto the coffee table.
The sound of glass shattering echoed through the room, white wine spilling across the floor.
Xavier immediately took a few steps back while Jacob simply stared in shock.
House held the broken wine bottle in her hand, starting at Jacob as she smashed it unto the floor.
“Do you take me for a pushover?
Jacob tried to calm himself down. “If I come f
forward now, Sophia’s reputation will be ruined, and her career could end. So you’ll just have to bear with it for now,
Eloise scoffed. “Bear with it? Why should? What gives you the right to ask that?”
“Eloise, enough. Stop making this underthan it needs to be.”
Eloise nodded, a bitter smile crossing her face. She’d tried to give him a chance, but it was clear he wasn’t willing to do the same.
She pulled out her phone and clicked on a video ini, Sophia smiled snugly as she taunted, “Jacob is like a pet to me. I don’t need to love him, but I can control him however I like. As long as holding the leash, he’ll always listen to me.
“you might be his girlfriend, but he will always be mine to control.”
