Chupter 91
Sumvel’s sudden kick was so hard that it sent a jolt through Logan’s chest.
Dominic slammed into the wall and crumpled to the floor.
It all happened in the blink of an eye. Logan even heard the sickening crackot homes brealone.
Dominic lay sprawled on the ground, unable to move. Cold sweat beaded across his forehead from the pain.
Samuel strode over in a few long strides. His polished, black leather shoes landed square on Dominic’s wris
His face remained emotionless as he said, “This is the 21st century. There’s nothing you can’t explain with a phone call. Especially a murder–for–hire. Who the hell would be stupid enough to show their real face?
“ll only ask this one more time. Are you sine the man who approached you was him?”
Dominic’s face contorted interror. “Yes! I’m sure it was him, but whether or not it was someone pretending to be him—I can’t say for certain. They said they had my wife and kid. I panicked–1 wasn’t thinking straight!–
Samuel slowly nodded. “Well, that’s not impossible.”
Dominic let out a shaky breath, as if he’d just dodged death His body relaxed with the kind of relief that only came from nearly escaping hell.
That possibility had crossed Samuel’s mind too.
Dominic might’ve had a rough life, but that didn’t excuse what he did. Naturally, he deserved whatever was coming!
without waming, Samuel shifted his weight–still barely pressing down–and Dominic’s wrist cracked louder this time.
Instantly, a scream tore through the tiny concrete room, raw and guttural.
At that moment, Simon walked in and caught the scene.
His brow twitched hard
It had been years since he’d seen Samuel this furious.
The last time he’d been this mad was two years ago–after nearly dying in an ambush on Starlight Summit.
He’d clawed his way back from the brink, and the first thing he did once he was back on his feet was wipe out everyone responsible.
Back then, all it took was one order from him—and people died by the thousands.
If Peter and Wade hadn’t been smart enough to bow out, they’d have been buried right alongside the others.
This time, the lick looked light, but the man’s shriek said otherwise that pain was real.
Simon and Logan exchanged a look
If Samuel already looked ready to kill someone, then it probably wasn’t just because he was being set up. This definitely had something to do with Kylie. Based on whatever information they had, the driver had apparently aimed the car straight at Kylie. Owen wasn’t even the target–he’d just jumped in to save her.
If the truth aver came out, and Owen stayed in a coma… Who knew what kylie might do? Or what Samuel would do, for that matter.
This mess was driving everyone up the wall.
Despite Samuel’s actions, Dominic was tight–lipped. Even in his agony, he didn’t spill a single piece of information that was useful.
Simon finally stepped in and said, “Samuel, that’s enough. Any more, and you’ll k
the word–I’ll have someone take care of it.”
“Death is too convenient, Samuel uttered. “Let him not in here.”
With that, he tumed and walked out without another glance.
kill him. You do need to dirty your hands with this. If you want him gone, say
Simon and Ingan followed behind him while Dominic was dragged back to his cell just in time for lunch.
