Chapter 26
“1” Kylie was about to explain, but Liana didn’t give her a chance to speak.
“Enough excuses. Get here now.” With that, she hung up.
Kylie took a deep breath, barely eating a few more bites of her breakfast, before standing up to leave.
Jim noticed that and said, “Ms. Clark, you barely are. Was the food not to your liking?”
“No, it’s not that. I just don’t have time. I need to head to the Vance residente.
“You can’t skip your brealdast, especially when you have low blood sugar,” Jin said. He was worried and hunded her a sandwich. “I’ll have the driver prepare the cat. You can eat this on the way.”
Samuel’s cars were all high–end, and he had a mild case of gemophobia. He definitely wouldn’t want food smells lingering inside.
As she thought of that, Kylie politely declined. “It’s okay, Jim.”
Jim saw right through her hesitation and smilled. “Don’t worry. I’ll have the driver take a different car.
She felt a little embarrassed having been seen through but also warm inside. She smiled and said, “Thank you, Jim.”
“Go ahead.”
Once she was in the car, she called Jeremiah, apologizing for the last–minute change. Twenty minutes later, the car pulled up in front of one of the villas at the Vance residence.

Kylie took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.
Amaid answered quickly, sized herup with obvious disdain in her gaze, and said in an unwelcoming tone, “You must be Ms. Clark Change into slippers and come in Mrs. Vance has been expecting you.”
Then, before stepping aside, she sprayed disinfectant around Rylle a few times as if she were carrying some kind of disease.
Kylie pressed her lips together but said nothing, slipping on the slippers provided and following the maid inside.
“This is a custom–made gown handcrafted by Mason Harrison. It took a full year to complete. I hope you will like it,” Iris said, holding a delicate gift box with a warm and graceful smile.
Liana’s expression brightened with delight. “Of course, I love it. Mr. Harrison’s work is nearly impossible to get. You’re always so thoughtful–you really shouldn’t

Liana and Itis chatted happily in the living room. The atmosphere was warm and easy.
Rylie took a deep breath, keeping a polite sinile on her face as she walked over. She greeted, “Mrs. Vance.”
Llano acted as if she hadn’t heard her at all and continued admiting the gown. “Mr. Harrison’s craftsmanship is truly exquisite, just look at this embroidery–It’s
