Chapter 99
This was a full–scale contract from the entire Castro family network
Even though it was mostly thanks to Enrica, the rest of the team being part of her group would still benefit big time
Zara didn’t even need to be mentioned, and for Vanesss, this sealed her transfer to headquarters. Honestly, just landing a deal this big would’ve been worth giving op her commission entirely.
Enrica had come fully prepared. She closed an intent–to–purchase agreement with Felix on the spot. Once the formal contract was signed, the deal would be locked
She was buzzing all the way back to the office. On the ride back, she texted Zack and Rachel, saying, “It happened! 1 locked in a major deal today. Dinner’s on me—
Zackand Rachel both replied in full celebration mode. Within minutes, they’d locked in a spot for the group dinner.
What surprised Enrica, though, was when Rachel suddenly messaged. “Enrica, bring your guy too. Let’s all hang out together for once.”
She thought about it. Come to think of it, Zayne hadn’t joined them for any group hangouts yet. And they were real friends, so there was no reason to leave him out. She opened his chat on WhatsApp and messaged, “Have you got any plans tonight? I managed to secure a huge deal, so I’m taking Zack and Rachel out to celebrate Come join us.”
He replied a few moments later, “Sure. Send me the address.”
She forwarded the place Zack picked. A second later, Zayne replied with a simple “Clay”
She smiled. Honestly, Zayne didn’t come off like a stereotypical gay guy. He was straightforward, clean with his words, and looked like the poster boy for a rugged, straight dude
Still, he was always thoughtful, constantly noticing the tiniest things about her–those were the only times she remembered he was gay. And if she had to guess, probably like Zack, a total bottom
No straight man would ever be that considerate. But his looks were totally alpha–like–the kind of guy who looked like he could walk into a fight and win without throwing a punch. She really had no idea what his actual role was.
Her mind had spiraled down that rabbit hole a bit too far,
After work, she splurged on herself and grabbed a cab to the restaurant.
She was sitting on nearly a million dollars now, and if things went smoothly with Joseph, her bonus from this deal would be massive. A cab was nothing.
Zack and Rachel were already in the private room when she walked in. They were whispering about something, but as soon as they saw her, both of them perked up and asked, “Where’s your man?”
Enrica felt weirdly awloward. “Don’t call him that. We’re just married on paper, nothing real. He’s probably still working. Insurance sales means unpredictable hours.”
Rachel nodded. “Okay, no problem. Just glad he’s coming.
Zarkchimed in, too. “Yup, as long as he shows up.”
What Enrica didn’t know was that Natasha had reached out to both Zack and Rachel. She was furious at how slow they were moving and had even added them on WhatsApp, created a group chat, and dangled a juicy offer ten thousand dollars each for any “real progress” they could show.
And yes, that included photo evidence.
All they had to do was invite her out for a meal, snap a photo, and post it in the group chat–and they’d be getting ten thousand dollars each. Such a deal was Impossible to say no to
It wasn’t like they were betraying Enrica. In fact, they were helping her move on from a toxic relationship and getting a little compensation for their effort. That was considered a fair trade, right?
