Meanwhile, Romen dropped Giselle off at her house before heading off
Giselle was in her room. The decoration was fit for a princess, with sophisticated details everywhere.
“Mom, you have to find a way to make Nelly marry that old man,” Giselle said coldly.
“Don’t worry, my dear. I’ll make sure Nelly cut all ties with the Loftin family once and for all,” Hilda re
“What’s the plan?” Giselle asked anxiously.

The next day, Nelly arrived early on campus but couldn’t find Clover. Her phone rang, and she quickly answered it.
“Hello? Clover, why aren’t you on campus yet?” Nelly asked, pouting.
“Sorry, Nell, something came up at home. Can you let the professor know?” Clover sad apologetically.
“Alright,” Nelly replied, disappointed.

A voice came from behind her, making her uneasy. When she turned, she saw Giselle standing with Sandra and Casey
“What do you want?” she asked, clearly annoyed
“Nell, since we’re graduating soon, we’re throwing a party at the club tonight,” Giselle said sweetly. “It’s my and Romeo’s treat. A lot of our friends are coming.”
“I’m not free,” Nelly replied without hesitation.
“Nelly Albright, Giselle is being nice. Don’t be ungrateful,” Casey said mockingly.
“Yeah, considering you’re just the unwanted daughter, Giselle is doing you a favor by inviting you,” Sandra added scornfully.
Nelly clenched her fists. She decided not to back down anymore.
“Of course I’ll go Nelly said with a bright smile, her expression warm and radiant.
Giselle hated seeing, Nelly so happy and calm. But remembering her plan for the night, her frustration eased.
“Alright, see you at the club at 7:00 pm, Sandra said.
After that, Nelly walked to the classroom. She sat at her desk and focused on her studies. Without Clover, she felt lonely. No one else would speak to her, and she knew exactly why.
Time flew by, and soon the evening came. Glancing at her watch, Nelly packed her belongings and left the classroom.
She hailed a cab and headed to the nightclub, unaware that a car was tailling her.
When she arrived, Giselle was already waiting outside. “Nell, you’re here!” Giselle exclaimed enthusiastically.
“Thanks for waiting,” Nelly replied, her tone flat.
“Let’s go,” Giselle said with a smile.

Chapter 11
The club they went to was the most exclusive in Megham, a hotspot for the wealthy elite. Most people could only dream of visiting the place.
Nelly followed Giselle into the private room, where Romeo, Sandra, Casey, and around 20 other of their classmates were already gathered.
“You took your sweet time, didn’t you?” Casey asked sarcastically. “Giselle even had to wait for you.”
“Casey, it’s fine,” Giselle said generously
Nelly sat down and took a sip of her drink.
“Romeo, I wish you and Giselle a happily–ever–after!” Sandra said with a smile.
“Yeah, you two are perfect for each other,” a classmate chimed in
“You should do a love shot!” someone suggested
“Love shot! Love shot!” they all began to chant enthusiastically.
Nelly sat quietly. As much as she wanted to move on, she still needed time.
Giselle approached Romeo shyly.
“Let’s take a shot,” Romeo said lovingly.

Everyone looked at Giselle enviously. Not only did she come from a prestigious family, but she also had a handsome, wealthy boyfriend.
“Have fun, everyone. Everything’s on me tonight!” Romeo announced.
They all cheered, some started singing while others started dancing
Nelly sat awkwardly, sipping her drink
Upon hearing Giselle’s pregnancy announcement, she wanted to leave. But she couldn’t, as it would only show that she still cared about Romeo, and she wouldn’t know how to face the people on campus.
