But I’ve watched all of you grow up, and you’re all good kids. Brian, since both of you have already reached that stage, there are just some things that I have to make clear”
“Mom” Cynthia wanted to beg Zoey to stop talking
Brian, however, stared at Cynthia His gaze made her back feel numb and tingly.

Onthia turned her back. She did not want Brian to see how embarrassed she looked at that moment. She looked into the distance, trying her best to hold back the tears that were welling up in her eyes.
However, she saw a tall and handsome figure leaning against the hallway, watching as the drama unfolded.
It was Colin.
Someone was talking to him, but he seemed distracted. He was physically there, but his mind and gaze were sotnewhere else.
“Cyn,” Brian called out to her.
Cynthia immediately turned around. It was then that she realized Zoey had headed back on her own. She was no longer sick like she was a moment ago.
Belan could probably tell that Zoey had created this scene on purpose. The goal was to get him to make her a promise, even though she had insisted that that was not true
Cynthia’s cheeks were burning. She looked down and said, “My mom’s giving you trouble again.”
Brian pressed his finger on her forehead gently and made her look up. Then, he asked with a smile, “Are you the trouble?
Cynthia was trapped in his gentle gaze. Her reaction was slow, and she could not think of a standard answer.
Was she the trouble? Would she be one?
The sound of approaching footsteps was heard, so Cynthia put a distance between Brian and her. It was then that an answer popped into her head–she could not be one. Therefore, she forced herself to smile and explain on Zoey’s behalf, “My mom just lacks a sense of security. She’ll stop thinking about all this nonsense after I graduate and have a stable job.”
Brian’s smile suddenly became cold. “You should save yourself the trouble and not let your mind run wild, too.”
Cynthia beard Quinn’s laughter, so she turned around and left. “I’ll see if there’s anything I can help with!!

Cynthia looked back.
Brian was still looking as calm and as elegant as always. He seemed to have something to ask her, but his words changed by the time they got to the tongue. He simply said, ” There’s no need for you to do all that. Nobody would say anything if you stayed by my side ”
Cynthia felt her heart sink. The uneasiness that was running in her blood breame worse,
She was worried quinn would misunderstand. She was even more worried that it would affect Branı.
However, Brian had just made a promise to Zoey earlier.
Cynthia’s mind, which was usually very sharp, suddenly stopped working. She just could not figure out how exactly Brian was feeling when he said those words.
