Two people entered. They were both wearing hoods that obscured their faces. It was impossible to make out their appearance. After years of experience in dealing with people, Serena could tell that these two were dangerous. Their eyes carried an unwavering determination, the kind that suggested they would stop at nothing to achieve their goals.
When facing such individuals, the best strategy was to comply as much as possible and never provoke them
“Apologies, Ms. Walker, for bringing you here in such a rough manner, one of them said. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”
While apologizing, one of them stepped forward and removed the tape from her mouth,
“Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?” Serena demanded.
“It’s obvious that we’re kidnappers. As for why we didnapped you, it’s for money.”
“Do you think I’m that easy to fool?” she shot back “Just tell me. Who sent you? Was it Brandon or someone else?”
Surprisingly, the kidnappers were remarkably calm, which caught her off guard. But as she thought about it, she realized that if they weren’t instructed by someone else, who in Silverbank City would dare to go after the daughter of the richest man?
“We’ve answered you clearly. The reason we didnapped you is only for money. Once we get the money, we’ll let you go.”
