Chapter 13
In the war, Ethan had finished opening up the patient’s meridians,
After the preparation was done, he pulled out the bag of needles he always carried, unfurled it, and took out seven silver needles in different sizes
With skilled hands, he placed the needles on the patient with firmness and precision. His technique was clearly not of an alternative medicine novice but that of a maven. Eventhe elderly men watching him were humbled
Evidently, he was the real deal.
Phillip gulped as he watched. Even though he was a layperson, he could sense that compared to Victor and Simon, this younger brother of Serena was outrageously
He understood now why Ethan had been so confident, even going so far as to predict when his mother wouble. There was no complicated reason other than Ethan was simply skilled. It seemed there was hope for his mother, after all!
“That can’t be right. That’s not the Arcane Eight Technique. He’s only using sevenpreilles.”
As the expectant crowd watched Ethan finish laying down the needles without having the intention to adil one more, they were stumped once again.
Though they didn’t know how to use the Arcane Eight Technique, they knew that eight silver needles had to be used. Could it be that Simon had been talking big and lying to them?
However, that was unlikely. Given Simon’s status, he had no reason to do that,
“Mr. Brooke, do you recognize this acupuncture technique?”
Someone tried to get an answer, but Simon was staring in awe and didn’t respond.
“Mr. Carter, what do you think?”
Nevertheless, Sam was the same. The two old men ot particular caliber stood still, otterly indifferent to their surroundings. Unbeknownst to others, as the two stared at the seven silver needles on the patient, they had entered a mystical state.
Although this was indeed not the Arcane Eight Technique, they had a feeling that this was another equally impressive technique.
Three–Ethan knew at least three kinds of long–lost acupuncture techniques!
Knowing just one was enough to cause a stir in the current alterative medicine field, and he had grasped three. By no means was this level of medical skill accidental He must have been taught by amaster

After watching for just a short while, they noticed that there was something unusual about the needles‘ placement. It resembled the distribution of the Big Dipper’s seven stars in some ways.
It had been about 20 minutes since Ethan entered the ward.
He removed the needles on the patient and put them back in. Then, he did so again and again.
As it risen from the dead, the patient suddenly sat up and spat out a huge clot of darkened blood.
Regardless of how worried Phillip was, without Ethan’s permission, he dared not open the door and disturb him.
Fortunately, seconds later, Ethan waved at them, indicating that they could enter now.
With Phillip at the front, Charles, Sam, Simon, and the others tiled in to observe the patient at a closer distance.
“Mr. Walker, how’s my mom doing?”
“I’ve just forced the dispersed cancer cells back into her lungs. They won’t be able to spread again any time soon. Let her take my prescription consistently during this time. You’ll see an improvement after a single batch of herbs. She’ll be cured after taking three batches.”
“C–Cured
Everyone couldn’t believe their ears.
They had assumed he’d simply be able to get the illness under control, but now, he was saying that she would be cured.
She had teminal lung cancer, for goodness sake!

At that, lie beckoned Victor’s female assistant over.

“Ethan, are you sure there’s nothing wrong with the h
herbs you’ve prescribed?”
“Of course, they’re fine. I adjusted the amount based on the patient’s condition They’re just right for her. Rest assured and let her take them. There won’t be a problem”
They were e well aware that the he
herbs were harmless. All these herbs were common, after all. There was no chance that this mixture of herbs was toxic,
What they were concemed about was whether the herbs could actually cure cancer.
“Alright. After working for so long, I’m starting to feel hungry. Serena, let’s go eat.”
Without paying much attention to the others‘ reactions, Ethan dragged Serena away and quickly left
Amid the crowd, Brandon watched them with a darkened gaze. If not for Erhan, even if the people Brandon had brought couldn’t have helped Phillip’s mom, the contract would have still been his.
He couldn’t understand. Where did this brat come from? And could he really cure lung cancer?
When Sam finally snapped out of his trance and remembered to ask Ethan to be his mentor, Ethan was already gone
“Quick. Give the patient a thorough examination now to see how the cancer cells are distributed in the patient’s body.”
While Sam was feeling rueful, Charles acted quickly and told others to check the patient Ethan had treated. Since it was a special case and the hospital director was monitoring it personally, the entire process went without a hitch
In less than an hour, the X–ray images were ready.
When they compared the X–rays taken before and after Ethan’s treatment, they could see plainly that the cancer cells were now concentrated only in the patient’s lungs. No anomalies were found elsewhere.
Using only acupuncture, Ethan was able to control cancer cells and keep them in one place. He was undeniably a miracle doctor.
“My mentor! I have to make him my mentor. Simon, where does he live? I want to pay him a visit.”
After the
e examination, Sam was even more determined to become Ethan’s apprentice.
Aside from him, even Charles was itching to do so. Compared to Sam and Simon, he was still young. If he could become Ethan’s apprentice, he could improve and become a titan in the alterative medicine industry.
Soon, Ethan’s name became well–known among doctors
Notably, when it was mentioned that he was Simon’s mentor, everyone who wanted to seek treatment but were apprehensive frantically asked around for his contact details
