Celeste’s voice was cool and detached, her expression just as calm.
Adrian asked. “They say once bitten, twice shy. If you really divorce my nephew, do you intend to raise Eloise alone for the rest of your life?”
He looked up his eyes fixed on her beautiful face, a hint of cunosity flashing in his gaze.
Celeste’s hand shook slightly at his question. After a moment of silence, she tumed to look at him and answered, “If I meet the right person, I wouldn’t insist on staying alone”
He didn’t respond immediately but quietly stated at bet, as if trying to uncover something deeper behind the complexity in her gaze.
They held each other’s gaze for nearly five seconds before she finally smiled. “Mr. Wrenford, you still haven’t responded to me. Are you willing to cooperate?” Adrian blinked a few times before shitting his gaze away. He lifted the cup in front of him and took a sip. After a pause, he replied nonchalantly, “Send the details of the house to my assistant laten.”

“Let this cup of coffee be a celebration of our partnership!” she lifted her cup.
He also led his cup and lightly clinded it against hers. “Here’s to a successful partnership”
Just as she set down her cup, her phone on the table began to ring. She glanced at the screen and saw Damien’s name. Adrian had also noticed it. “Aren’t you going to answer it? His deep voice came from beside her.

“He still hasn’t signed the paper? Adrian asked, gazing up at her, his expression calm.

After hearing her response, he said nothing more, and the room fell silent.
Then, he drove them home. As they approached Aviso Tower, Celeste spotted a familiar figure standing under the streetlight. She watched as the car slowly passed the figure, but said nothing to stop it.
