Chapter 33

Ryan’s POV

“I had fun today, and so did Sof,” My beautiful Mate said as we walked into the Packhouse.

“I am happy the both of you had fun. I had a great time too. Hopefully, we can do something again tomorrow,” I said

“That sounds nice,” Violet replied. I wanted to spend more time with her, but my father had mind–linked me, telling me to meet him in his office when we got home.

I had a feeling it had something to do with me having some of the guards take Jane to a cell. I was sure the Werewolf Council would find out about it soon and would be back for an investigation. I was upset because of the whole situation with the Council. I should be able to protect my Mate from anyone, no matter if they were my ex or not. I was upset with Jane and her parents, especially her mom, because I was sure she was the one that called the Council.

I watched Violet as she and Sof walked into the elevator until it closed.

“I never thought I would see the day that my brother would fall in love,” Emily said. I had forgotten she was standing by me.

“I need to go see dad. He mind–linked me while we were gone,” I said

“Most likely. I will see you later and don’t think about coming with Violet and me tomorrow when we go out. I want to spend time with her and Sof alone,” I said

“Fine,” Emily said, rolling her eyes. I headed up to my father’s office. When I opened the door, my suspicion was confirmed about the Werewolf Council finding out about me placing Jane in a cell because they were sitting across from my father in his office.

“What is going on in here?” I asked

“Son, please have a seat,” My dad said, and I went to sit next to him in his office. I looked at the Council Members, and one of them cleared their throat.

“I am sure you know why we came back so soon. We were told you placed the she–wolf Jane back in a cell after we agreed to let her go. We are here because we would like to know why you put her back in a cell after Alpha Lee came up with a different punishment for her,” one of the members asked.

“I placed Jane in a cell because she came up to my Mate while we were out. Alpha Lee specifically told Jane not to come near my Mate, but she didn’t listen. That is why I placed her in a cell,” I replied.

“From what I had heard, she didn’t know your Mate was going to be at the Amusement Park and was only trying to apologize to her for having a sexual relationship with you before you met her,” one of the Council Members said.

“Were all of you at an Amusement Park?” One of the Council Members asked

“Yeah,” I replied

“And did you tell Jane you were taking your Mate to the Amusement Park?” The Council Member asked

“No, but that doesn’t mean,” I started to say but was cut off.

“If you didn’t tell her you were going to be at the Amusement Park, then how are you so sure she didn’t bump into your Mate by coincidence?”

“Because I know Jane, and I am pretty sure she followed me to the Amusement Park with my Mate,” I replied

“But you are not one hundred percent sure. You can’t just throw her in a cell without knowing for sure that she was intentionally not staying away from you, Mate,” One of the Council Members said

“I am one hundred percent sure because, like I just told you, I know Jane. Plus, she was walking towards my Mate to confront her. That means it was intentional,” I replied

“She said she was going to apologize to your Mate for having a relationship with you,” The Member said

“Look. I am not going to keep going back and forth with you. I know Jane followed my Mate and me. She deserves to be punished and placed in a cell,” I replied

cell because there isn’t any evidence that she meant to run into your Mate,” the Member said. I was about to argue, but my dad spoke first.

“I will get Jane out of the Cell,” My dad said, and I looked at him, shocked.

“Dad, I know Jane followed us,” I said

“I am sure she did follow you. I am going to tell her that the next time she runs into Violet, she will be punished. There will be no more chances for her if she comes anywhere near Violet again. I hope you council members understand that,” My dad said, looking at the council members.

“Yes, we will go with you when you let the she–wolf out of the cell. I hope this situation is resolved and we have no more calls about you and the She–wolf Jane” The council Member said, looking at me.
