Chapter 18
Violet’s POV
Emily walked back into the room with a light blue sundress and heels. “What is wrong?” She asked
“I have never been on a date before.” I never had the time to go out with anyone. I was always busy watching Sofia or at school or work. My focus was getting Sof and me away from our father. I had never even had a boyfriend before.
Yes, guys would come up to me and try to talk to me, but I never had time for them. I didn’t know how to be around a guy. Ryan was a man that I knew had experience with women. I heard him. the first day I met him having sex in his room with Jane.
“What if he found me boring?” I thought. I didn’t know why that question made my heart ache, thinking of Ryan not wanting me. It is crazy how I wanted to avoid him and now want him to like me. I must have been going crazy.
Emily walked over and sat next to me. “V, calm down. Everything is going to be okay. You are shaking,” Emily said. I didn’t notice I was shaking. I must be more nervous than I thought. I closed my eyes to calm my nerves.
“I am sorry. I don’t know why I am so nervous,” I said. Ryan and I were only going on one date, and I needed to remember that I was giving him a chance to be my friend. This wasn’t anything serious. Somehow I knew I was lying to myself. Ever since he touched my hand and those pleasurable tingles went through

“I am only going out with him tonight to give him a chance to be my friend,” I said

Ryan’s POV
1
I was so happy when Violet told me she would go out with me. felt like the luckiest man in the world. After how I treated her the first day we met, I thought it would take forever to convince her to go out with me.
I didn’t want to leave her, but my dad and I needed to talk to the Rogue that was at chasing Emily and Violet. Violet didn’t know that there were two wolves at Emily’s and her place. I was lucky to catch one of them. We didn’t know why they were chasing them. Was he after my sister or Mate? I had no idea, and that was what we needed to find out. Being an Alpha brought a lot of enemies. Rogues hated Alphas, and some other Alphas hated each other because they wanted to be more powerful than the other.
My father was one of the most powerful Alphas there was, which meant he made many enemies in his time. It was a big chance the Rogue was after Emily because she was the Alpha’s daughter. But, for some reason, I was worried he could have been after Violet. It was a gut feeling I couldn’t get rid of.
“Hey, son, he is ready for you,” My dad said as I made it to the Jall.
“Has he told you who the other Rogue was or why they were chasing them?‘ I asked.
“No. The Rogue won’t speak to anyone. He said if he speaks, he’s dead,” my dad said. My dad and I walked into the cell. He was chained to the table with chains laced with wolfsbane.
“What is your name?” I asked
“I already told your father I won’t talk to anyone Little Alpha. You might as well kill me,” the Rogue said
I sat in the chair across from him and stared at him. “Why were you at my sister’s house? Who was the other Rogue with you?” I asked
“I already told you I won’t say a thing,” The Rogue said
“Why would you rather die than tell me what I want to know?” I asked.
“Because there are a lot of worse things that would happen to me if you let me go, but I am sure even if I tell you what I know, you would still kill me. I did try to kill your sister and Mate,” he said, and I looked at my father, who was looking back at me with the same shocked expression.
“How did you know she was my. Mate?” I asked. His face paled when I asked him that question. He knew he had made a mistake.
Everyone outside the Pack thought I still hadn’t found my Mat

We planned to tell everyone after I told Violet the truth about Werewolves. The only people who knew about Violet being my Mate were the Pack members, who knew not to tell anyone
else.
My father had called the Werewolf Council and scheduled a meeting for them to come to our Pack next week so we could tell them in person that I had found my Mate and wouldn’t be choosing one. That meant someone from our Pack had to have told the Rogue about Violet being my Mate. Someone from the Pack sent him to hurt her.
“Who from this Pack sent you?” I asked
“I never said it was someone from your Pack,” The Rogue replied
“You know I have a Mate, which means someone told you. The only ones that know that are my Pack Members. Who sent you?” I growled, and he stayed silent. I could tell he wasn’t going ‘to say anything.
“Son, this is a waste of time. He isn’t going to talk,” Dad mind- linked.
“You are right. There are a lot of worse things than death,” I said and walked out of the room with my father. I would deal with the Rogue later. Right now, I needed to find where the other one was and who from our Pack told them about Violet being my Mate.
