They reached the courthouse at 10:00 am sharp, but Wilson hadn’t shown up yet. Daphne waited patiently for more than 30 minutes, but he never came, When she looked at her phone and neticed there were no messag she slowly lost her patience.
“Don’t tell me that bastard is going to stand me up” she grumbled. She had been high–spirited from the moment she woke up that morning, but that feeling was slowly fading aww. “I told him not to play any tricks, but he’s doing it again!”
Feeling furious, she called Wilson’s phone multiple times, but no one answered at all. So, she had no choice but to contact Yvonne
“Yvonne, what are you up to this time? Where in the world is Wilson? Ask if he’s coming of not!”
Hearing how straightforward Daphne was, Yonne answered angrily, “Daphne, why are you still looking for him when your relationship has turned sour?”
Daphne scoffed.
“Are you out of your mind, Yvonne? Do you think I want to see him? We’re supposed to collect our divorce certificate today. If one of us fails to show up for whatever reason, our divorce application will be rejected. Then, we’ll have to wait for 30 more days to reapply again. Do you want that?”
Yvonne didn’t think it would be something like that, and she started panicking. “1-1 really have no idea where he has gone to. I didn’t see him today, and can’t get in touch with him as well. W–Wait there I’ll look for him right now!”
“You’d better be smart about it, and don’t do anything stupid to delay my divorce!” Daphne scolded while ending the call. She didn’t want to be mad, but she really couldn’t wait for jo more days. After all, the sooner the divorce happened, the sooner she could be free.
Sebastian was upset as well. “Why is Wilson going back on his word?
“Who knows? He should be more impatient than me. Could be have died on his way here? Did he get into an accident? That has to be the reason.”
Daphine was frustrated. She thought she could finally be free that day, but all of her excitement was in vain. Daphne wealdy leaned against the car and started cursing to vent her
“I can’t believe that useless Yvonne. Why didn’t she keep an eye on Wilson on such an important day? She should’ve dragged him to the courthouse if she had to. After all, how ebe is she going to be his wife if 1 don’t get a divorce?”
Sebastian didn’t know how to respond to that, and he gently patted her on her shoulder. “Let’s head back first and not waste our time waiting here. If we can get in touch with him before the courthouse is closed for the day, I’ll drive you back here again.”
“Sure.” She nodded in frustration. Fortunately for her, Sebastian was here as well. Otherwise, she would’veraged out for sure.
Daphne waited at home for hours, but there still wasn’t any news about Wilson. So, she started wondering if she had jinxed him by cursing him previously. “Did Wilson really die? That works for me 100. After all, I’ll be able to get everything from him that way.”
The courthouse would close at 5:30 pm. Daphne lay on her couch, continuing to hope. When the clock finally struck 5:00 pm, she cursed out loud in disappointment, “That

He raised his hand to stop the driver from opening the door from him. Then, he stared at her slim figure with his cold gaze. His driver had been working for him for years and knew what was on Wilson’s mind immediately. Hence, he didn’t do anything else.
Wilson waited in the car for a long time. When he saw how happy Daphne looked while talking to Sebastian, he noticed she didn’t look sad about getting a divorce at all
Hence, he made up his mind and reached his hand out to open the door. However, just as he was about to touch the handle, his phone started ringing. It was Leena’s caretaker Julie Moore, calling him.
“Mr. Farrell, Mrs. Farrell Senior has just fainted, and she’s being sent to Farrell Hospital now!”
