Chapter 79
I followed the address Hannah gave me and told the bouncer who 1 was there to see and which private room to go to. The bouncer looked at me strangely but led me into the bar. As we passed through the lobby, I suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure.

I saw only him talking on the phone on the first floor and didn’t spot anyone else. I furrowed my brows. I suspect that he likely didn’t see me. I quietly followed the server upstairs.
After knocking, a cleat female voice called out, “Come in.”
The server led me inside.
Three or four women were sitting in the room, one of whom stood out. She wore a black dress, with a striking face and a poised presence.
“Ms. Sutton? You’re the famous tennis coach at the club–the one everyone’s talking about, I have to say, you’re even more beautiful in person than I expected,” the woman said, pouring herself a glass of red wine. She swirled the wine in her glass, sizing me up, her smile faint.
Zoey’s smile grew wider. “So sharp for your age. I have to say, you’ve got the kind of vibe I appreciate. But what a shame–I can’t stand it when someone messes with what’s mine.”
I remained composed as I replied, “I’m just a normal tennis coach Mr. Yates and I are only playing tennis.”
One of the women beside Zoey couldn’t resist speaking up, “You’ve got such a sweet look, but that short skirt for tennis definitely makes a statement.”
“I heard that you’re just a college student worlding part–time. You seem young, but you’re probably alming high. Mr. Yates will book an appointment with you every time he goes to the tennis club. You know he’s engaged, yet you still try to get close to him. And you’re saying you’re not after anything? Who would believe that?
