Quinton paused for a moment “What about after that?”
“There are slots available in two weeks.”
He gave me a deep look and said, “Then book me for any available slots after that. Whenever there’s a slot, I’ll book it.”
Hannah agreed readily.
After Quinton left, Hannah took my hand and sat me down. “You did great in today’s match. Quite a few people have requested you. Take good care of your right hand. All expenses incurred are on the club.”
“Hannah, who’s requested me for training?”
She listed five names, including Liam, but Gideon wasn’t among them.
I nodded. I wasn’t exactly disappointed, but the lack of progress left me feeling a bit anxious.
As I left the tennis club, Quinton stopped me. I looked at him calmly, waiting for him to speak first. “Where are you staying? I’ll give you a ride home.”
“No need. Thank you. Someone is already coming to pick me up.”
His gaze wasn’t as polite as it had been in the tennis club. Leaning against the wall, he lit a cigarette. “Then I’ll wait with you. A woman as beautiful as you shouldn’t be alone–it’s not safe.
I turned to glare at him coldly.
Quinton chuckled. “Not satisfied with someone like me? What kind of guy do you like? Honestly, I think we’re a great match. From the moment I saw you, I wanted you to be my girlfriend.”
I kept my expression indifferent and met his gaze without a word.
Biting down on his cigarette, Quinton didn’t back down. Instead, his expression grew more persistent. “Even if you have a boyfriend, it’s fine Leave him and be with me. I’ll treat you well.”
Glancing at my phone, I ignored him and turned to eave. Before I could get far, he grabbed my arm. I looked at him sharply.
He froze for a moment, then smirked. “Don’t look at me like that. It’s like you’re trying to seduce me Are you really not interested in me?”
Before I could respond, the sound of a car horn broke the tension.
I turned to see a familiar face inside a sleek black Maybach.

going on here, Ms. Sutton? Hop in!”
I glanced back at Quinton, whose expression shifted as he recognized Liam.
“Mr. Yates, what a surprise. You and Ms. Sutton-”
“And you are?” Liam asked.
“I’m the fourth son of the Wallace family,” Quinton said, his tone polite. He gave me another glance but didn’t press further.
Liam nodded without further comment, gesturing for me to come over. “I’ll give you a ride home.”
I looked at Quinton again. He opened his mouth as if to say something but ultimately stayed silent. I stepped toward Liam’s car, opened the door and froze at the sight of the man sitting in the back seat.
It was Gideon.
Caught off guard, I stood there briefly. Gideon was on the phone but nodded slightly at me when he noticed my presence.
I climbed into the back seat and quietly said, “Thank you for helping me out, Mr. Yates.”
Then, I turned to Gideon, glanced at him briefly, and quickly averted my gaze.
Liam grinned. “What’s the matter? Do you know my friend, or are you just admiring his looks?”
I lowered my head and didn’t answer.
Only after Gideon finished his call did I speak again, this time to Liam, “Mr. Yates, your tailored shirts are very expensive, right?”
“They are quite pricey. But why are you asking, Ms. Sutton? Interested in one of my shirts? Or are you interested in someone who’s wearing one?” Liam’s gaze flitted betwe
Gideon and me.
I wasn’t sure why his expression held such curiosity. It was as if he had stumbled upon something intriguing.
But I hadn’t interacted with Gideon in front of Liam before, so why was he teasing me about him?
