Chapter 13
I laughed coldly. “Didn’t you say that Samuel is blaming you for the theft? Why would I have to pay him back?”
“We didn’t steal Mr. Jackman’s bracelet, and the police didn’t find it. So, you probably stole the bracelet! You have to promise in front of your parents‘ graves that you didn’t take the bracelet.”
amuel got:
Samuel got someone to make the bracelet in Itelia for Yvette.
In my previous life, I accidentally broke the bracelet when I tugged on her. Samuel slapped me so
hard that I almost became deaf from the impact.
The moment I was reborn, I took the bracelet from Samuel’s coat once he left and flushed it down
the toilet bowl.
Benjamin wasn’t wrong when he said what he did.
I swore. “The bracelet isn’t with me. I didn’t take it either.”
It was true that I didn’t take it, and it wasn’t with me at the moment.
“Since I’ve already promised you, will you dare to do the same in front of my parents‘ graves? Say that you didn’t get someone to take nude photos of me!”
Benjamin was infuriated. “What nonsense are you spouting? Don’t you care about your reputation? What nude photos? You’re an embarrassment to your family!”
Laughing, I replied, “Didn’t Margaret tell you? The man who broke into my room called you in the elevator. I recorded his conversation with you back then.”
Hearing that, Benjamin’s expression turned fierce. When I was living with him in the past, I was very scared that he would be angry at me. Since I couldn’t see, he would have various methods of punishing me. Now, I was no longer scared
“Juliet, you’re an ungrateful person. Ask yourself honestly if we’ve ever treated you badly in the past few months. Didn’t we feed you? All this was done for your sake. Otherwise, do you think Mr.
Jackman would date you?
“Since he has already shown an interest in you, you should try your best to give him a child. Then, you won’t worry for the rest of your life. Not everyone will be as lucky as you, alright? Instead of being grateful, you’re threatening us. How could you demand us to pay him a million dollars?
“Dream on! You have to hand us the bracelet. Do you hear me?”
Every time I heard him talk, I would wonder why shameless people like him existed in this world.
“So, you’re admitting that you got someone to take nude photos of me with the intention of selling
Chande is
me to a wealthy man, right?”
“What do you mean by that? What’s there to admit? You weren’t in the room, so the man I sent could
take any pictures!” Benjamin was ashamed and incensed He spoke loudly as he tried to
drag me away.
Just then, someone opened the door of the vehicle that was parked nearby 1 saw a few relatives from the Sutton family stepping out of the vehicle
“Benjamin, are you human? How could you get someone to take nude photos of Jules? She’s just a
kid.”
“When her parents were alive, they helped you a lot. They bought your current house for you Yet
you want to sell their daughter away?”
“You’re a monster How could you do this to a child?”
It took me two hours to get here because I had invited my distant relatives over as well. I invited
relatives who were on bad terms with Benjamin to come with me
As such, they wouldn’t care about maintaining relations with his family and would spread the
news of what he did to everybody
A few relatives were scolding Benjamin and Margaret loudly.
Since quite a few people were at the graveyard, they started criticizing Benjamin and Margaret after hearing what happened. The strangers looked on contemptuously
Meanwhile, Benjamin’s and Margaret’s faces turned red as they slunk away.
I continued remaining silent.
After comforting me, those relatives asked if I wanted to go back to the university. However, I shook my head. “Thank you for helping me today just want to stay with my parents for a while.”
After that, they comforted me a while longer. Before a relative walked away, she secretly shoved a few hundred dollars in my hands.
She did it quietly. She knew that I was blind, and it seemed that she didn’t want me to know who she was As such, I kept the money in my pocket and thanked her without calling her name
That relative sighed and left
I was the only one left in front of my parents‘ graves
