Chapter

It turns out that the woman who hit me yesterday was her Kris’s Grace, the girl he loved of his university days

Kris and I were high school classmates. I noticed him during our freshman military training. Back then, Kris was tall and slender, looking handsome and gentle. He excelled

cademically but came from a singleparent family, which made him seem lonely

Throughout high school, I admired him for three years, and finally, after the college

entrance exam, he agreed to go on a date with me. I was so happy that I almost jumped for

joy, and my friends all wished me well, celebrating me on finally getting what i wanted

My grades weren’t exceptional in the college entrance exam, but to be in the same city with

him, I abandoned my local university and major, choosing a less competitive and less

desirable major in his city

At university, Kris was not only academically brilliant but also handsome, earning him the title of campus hunk. However, his father was not well and their family was poor, coupled

with his mother leaving due to poverty, isolated him from male peers, making him increasingly aloof

In college, I devoted all my free time to working to support him. He was my hardearned first love, and I believed he deserved better than his current life. I worked tirelessly to earn money, hoping to provide him with the latest fashion clothes, the most expensive phone and computer, so he could live a better life

With the money I earned, he flourished, shaking off the inferiority complex stemming from his humble background. He even joined and became a core member of the student union, expanding his social circle. Many students respectfully called him Mr. Kris.Yet, he never

mentioned me in front of his friends

Winne, I’m not the type to seek the spotlight. You know my personality. Our schools are so different, how could I possibly say you’re my girlfriend?”

We’ll definitely get married someday. I’ll always remember your kindness. Whether we make it public or not, it doesn’t matter.”
