Chapter 12
With Wesley in custody, Camilla lost her pillar of support. She caused a few scenes trying to confront me, but each time she was stopped by the security guards at the entrance of my neighborhood.
After a few days of rest, I hired a moving company and headed to Camilla’s apartment Complex.
As soon as I arrived, I went straight to her door. When the doorbell rang, it was clear she’d just woken up–her dark circles were so heavy they looked like they might fall off her face.
Seeing the workers behind me, Camilla eyed me warily.
“Nora, what are you doing?”
Ignoring her, I waved the movers inside.
“Take everything out. Move all the furniture and change the locks while you’re at it,” I
instructed.
Camilla blocked the doorway.
“You can’t come in! This is my home! Nora, you’re trespassing!”
I raised the property deed in my hand.
“Take a good look. Whose name is on this document?”
“You still can’t just come in and take everything. I’m living here, so it’s my home. You’re violating my rights!” Camilla tried to sound confident, invoking legal arguments.
I smirked.
“Did you pay rent? Do we have a signed lease agreement?”
Her expression faltered.
“You let me stay here out of kindness,” she mumbled.

I let out a cold laugh.
“I let you stay because I pitied you. Now, I don’t want you here anymore. If you stay, you’re the one trespassing. I can even sue you and demand back rent for the entire time you’ve
been here.”
Seeing no other way out, Camilla clutched her belly and began crying out in pain, clearly
preparing to collapse on the floor.
My stomach hurts! You’re bullying a pregnant woman! You’ll all pay for this!”
I glanced at the time on my phone and lowered it just as I heard the elevator ding. A
medical response team rushed in.
“Excuse me, we were told there’s a pregnant woman here who isn’t feeling well. We’ll take her to the hospital,” one of them said.
I almost laughed out loud at Camilla’s predictable antics.
As expected, once the ambulance took Camilla away, I had the movers empty the entire apartment. I even bagged up her belongings in trash bags and left them at the door.
Afterward, I called an agent to take photos and prepare the apartment for sale.
When Camilla returned, she couldn’t get back into the apartment and found all her things
dumped outside. With nowhere to go, she turned to the real estate boss again, hoping to use
her pregnancy to extort money.
Unfortunately for her, his wife caught wind of it and had her beaten up by a group of
people.
Left with no other options, Camilla tried to exploit those with a “special interest” in pregnant women, offering her body for money. However, she encountered a violent client, which led to a severe hemorrhage. By the time she reached the hospital, the baby was gone.
Although Camilla survived, the complications left her unable to have children ever again.
After that, I rarely heard anything about her.

Bowen later told me she had returned to her hometown and married a “nice guy.” But when he discovered she couldn’t have children and learned about her sordid past, her in laws began beating her daily.
As for Wesley, just as I expected, he was sentenced to life in prison. He’ll spend the rest of his days behind bars.
After selling both properties that disgusted me, I returned home to take over the family
business.
One day, while I was working, my mom called.
“Sweetheart, the family home is being demolished for redevelopment! Compensation is per person–we’ll each get about ten million yuan.”
After hanging up, I glanced out the window at the boundless blue sky.
Life really is beautiful.
