Chapter 69
The man’s features were sharp and cold, with an innate aura of authority. His eyes, indifferent yet incredibly attractive, made it impossible for anyone to look away.
roup of bodyguards. The students immediately knew that he was a big-
Following him was Vincent, with his perpetually stern expression, and a group
name person.
Fortunately, the students were not allowed to bring mobile phones privately. Otherwise, hundreds of phones would have been frantically taking pictures of the man walking in the center.
Some kept exclaiming how handsome he was, others marveled at the remarkably attractive mixed–race features, and some were curious about the handsome man’s identity, especially since they had never seen their principal look at anyone with such obsequious admiration.
Maybelle took advantage of the man’s gare landing on her face and secretly raised her brows at him. This self–willed man was not supposed to appear here according to their plan.
Those dark green eyes seemed to be tender only when they rested on her, revealing a harely perceptible tenderness.
Eric immediately rushed forward with his bleeding nose to complain when he saw the principal,
He pointed at Maybelle and said, “Mr. Wilson, she hit me!”
For some reason, as soon as he said this, he had a feeling that the man standing beside the director, a head taller than him, was staring at him with a very unfriendly gaze, making his back feel a chill,
The director looked displeased. It had been difficult for the school to welcome such a distinguished guest, and just upon reaching the teaching building, they encountered this situation. What a bad impression it left!
It seemed that today the student who hit someone would definitely receive a good lesson! The director didn’t bother with any details. He walked straight up to Maybelle and, with a stern face, asked, “Did you hit Eric?
For some reason, with Oscar present, Maybelle felt more confident. She met the director’s gaze fearlessly. “That’s right, I did it.”
Jovie, who had been by her side the whole time, had unconsciously kept her distance from Maybelle, for fear of being implicated in the fight. Like all the other girls, her attention was entirely captivated by that bold man. She couldn’t hear to blink while staring at him.
How could anyone be this devastatingly handsome? What glorious eyes he has! Josie was excited.
Eric, seeing Maybelle admit it so readily, became even more agitated, “She admitted it herself! She must apologize to me. And don’t forget to punish her too
The students who knew the full story looked at him with disdain. A strong and sturdy guy complaining to the director because a girl hit him for speaking rudely was just tasteless.
“No wonder he chased after Maybelle for so long without success. Clearly, her discerning eyes see through everything. Someone murmured. The director kept a serious look, determined to show the esteemed guest the school’s strict discipline!
He yelled at Maybelle in anger. “On the first day of school, you dare to hit someone. You really are asking for it! I think you shouldn’t attend this school anymoir. Pack your things and go home. Only when you apologize to him can you return to class. I’m telling you, even if you are in Class A the school will never cover for you. You will be warned according to the school rules.”
He spoke with righteous indignation, trying to salvage a bit of Austin School’s in
image in the eyes of the esteemed guest.
As more and more onlookers gathered, Eric’s face lit up. While the students nearby looked indignant, whispering how the director didn’t even bother to distinguish right from wrong. Clearly, it was Eric who was at fault first.
Maybelle certainly wasn’t about to take this lying down, she raised her eyebrow at the director and said, “It’s indeed my fault for hitting someone, I’m willing to accept punishment. But
She pointed at Eric, who looked glerful. “Erie just now even insulted and defamed me in front of the students. So, how should he be punished!” Eric turned pale and opened his mouth to defend himself, but suddenly remembered that he did insulted Maybelle in front of everyone.
Moreover, he wasn’t sure if it was just his imagination, but he felt as though a slurp gaze, Maybelle was accusing him of insulting her earlier. The terrifying man behind him had a chilling aura that made him shudder.
gaze, like a knife, had swept across his entire body when
Eric didn’t dare to look directly at the man. He always considered himself the most handsome at this school, but in front of this man, he seemed utterly insignificant in every aspect.

Unfortunately, after listening to Maybelle, the director did not thoroughly investigate the details of the students‘ conflict. His mind was focused on quickly resolving the matter to avoid delaying the VIP’s campus tour, and he had no time to mediate their justice.
Besides, wouldn’t Maybelle’s words obviously reveal to the VIP that their school had numerous problems? Continuing to squabble here would only leave a worse impression!
If it delayed the VIP’s investment in the school, it would be a huge issue!
So, he reprimanded Maybelle harshly without hesitation, “No matter what, it’s your fault for hitting someone! What are you still rambling about here! Hurry up and go back to the classroom to pack your things! And the rest of you, stop watching and go back to your respective classrooms!”
Maybelle looked displeased. She didn’t understand the principal’s twisted thoughts, only feeling that his muddled approach was merely to protect Eric, which instantly made her unhappy.
Josie didn’t expect such a small matter to actually alarm both the director and the headmaster, so she was afraid that if Maybelle kept arguing. Eric might say something he shouldn’t, implicating her as well.
So she quickly and timidly tugged on Maybelle’s uniform sleeve and gently advised. “Let it go, Mabel, it’s just a punishment record, it’s not a big deal. Let’s go back first.”
She didn’t expect Maybelle didn’t give her any face at all, and angrily slapped her hand away in return.
She sneered, “Just a punishment record! Easy for you to say, since it’s not you getting punished, right?
Being contradicted, Josie wore a sheepish expression. Maybelle couldn’t be bothered with her now. She looked at Mr. Wilson with determination, insisting on getting her justice.
“I’m not the only one at fault, punish us all together, or I won’t accept it!”
