“Weren’t you the one who asked me to come for a drink? you’re leaving already when we just started? No way! Lester, are you really leaving?” Henry asked. The two of them left the bar one after the other.
On the way, Lester kept thinking about Henry’s words. Had he really fallen in love?
As he thought about it, he unknowingly arrived at Daphne’s door. By this time, night had already fallen. Maybe she was already asleep.

She didn’t think much of it. Lester was pretty nice. Sometimes, he would come by to see her, which seemed perfectly normal.

He leaned against it and looked up at the ceiling light. The bright glare made him narrow his eyes slightly.

Lester didn’t want to believe any of this. He sat at his desk, irritably rubbing his forehead.
It must be because he hadn’t been around a female for a long time. That had to be the reason.
He turned on his phone and agreed to the blind date his family had arranged.
That night, Daphne slept fitfully. She didn’t know why, but for the first time since coming to this unfamiliar interstellar empire, she dreamed of her family.

At that point, she was mentally and physically exhausted, in utter despair. She stood on a tall building and jumped.

A teat slipped down Daphne’s cheek, barely making a sound in the stillness of the night.
If someone looked closely, they would notice the items around the incubator trembling slightly, accompanied by a falut wave of psionic energy.
One of the bigger snalur eggs was slowly cracking. But it only cracked halfway and stopped.
After that, Daphne stopped having nightmares.
When Daphne woke up the next moming, she saw the cracks in the egg. She quickly summoned the system to ask about it.
“System, didn’t you say the eggs needed about a month to hatch? It hasn’t even been ten days, and one of the eggs is already cracked. Is it broken?”
If the system had a physical form, it would definitely be rolling its eyes at her

Daphine was so shocked to hear this. It felt as it she had been struck by lightning,

Daphne almost felt like throwing the incubator away on the spot. She’d been terrified of invertebrates all her life, so finding out about this felt like her world was crashing downL
She quickly called Emma and told her in move the incubator into the living room. As long as it wasn’t in her room, that was fine.
She had assumed that once they hatched, she would have two little babies. It didn’t matter if they were actually snakes. As long as they were babies, she could pretend everything was fine.
But no one had told her that Beastkin stayed in their original forms when they were young
Still trembling, she noticed the new door and thought of Lester. Ever since Britney died, she hadn’t given him any human fond.
So, Daphie decided to make some snacks and send them to him. She had Emma gather the ingredients for her.
She spent the entire moming on it and finally finished. She packed the snacks and headed for the study.
On the way, they saw a few unfamiliar men.
Daphne asked curiously, “What are they doing? Why are they carrying such a strange tree?”
“Ms. Miller, the dog training ground wants to prevent more intruders from getting in, so the butler chose some thorny trees to add more protection. They just arrived, so we happened to see them. We can check them out if you’d like.”
“Not bad. The flowers at the back look really nice.” Daphne indeed liked them because many of the plants here were things she had never seen before. “Once they finish planting those around the dog training ground, I’ll take you to see it.”
“Thank you, Ms. Miller. I’m really lucky to be serving you.”
“Lucky? Serving me is also the most dangerous job,” Daphne thought to herself
Ever since she arrived on this planet, danger had followed her every time she went out. So, she stayed in the manor. But even then, danger still found its way in Who knew what would happen next?
Usually, if Lester wasn’t away working for the United Federation, he would be in his study. So they went straight there, but the guards said he had gone out Daphne asked the guards to give him the snacks when he got back and then she and Emma headed back to her room
Back in her room, Daphne tookout her phone and started scrolling. In the distance, she heard Emma’s voice, sounding puzzled. “Ms. Miller, I feel like something’s missing in the room.”
“Nothing is missing. Maybe it’s just your imagination.”
“I’m not sure. I just feel like something isn’t here, but I can’t put my finger on it.”
“Alright, you can think about it later. Help me check how much the eggs have cracked.” “Okay, Ms. Miller.”
Emma’s quick tootsteps cang out, and then she came running back.
“Ms. Miller, I figured out what’s missing”
“What is it? Daphne asked casually,
“Your eggs are gone.
“What?” Daphne shot to her feet and ran over to see.
The two snakes that had been in the incubator earlier were gone without a trace.
Emma started spinning around in panic. “What do we do? Could the other maids have seen them and thought they were regular eggs, so they took them to the kitchen to make fried eggs?”
