Noelle slowly walked up toward Betty, scaring her and causing her to take a few steps back. Then, she said coldly, “Since you know that I’m the daughter of the Liddell family, you had better watch yourself and behave. Otherwise, I might just hand over proof of you helping
Xenia cheat.
“Once that happens, Xenia might be able to get out of the cheating allegations unscathed, but I’m not sure if that would be the case for you.”
Ever since the whole cheating incident, Gwen had been on leave and had yet to return to
school.
Although Noelle’s face was pale, she looked angry and volatile. Betty was so scared that she immediately ran away.
When Noelle left the bathroom, Rachel approached her and said, “Noelle, if Xenia reports you
to the teacher, I’ll testify against her for you.
“I clearly saw that Betty had insulted you first and was gossiping behind your back.”
Noelle’s expression softened when she realized who was speaking. “Thank you.”
Initially, she had planned to ignore Xenia and her minions. However, they seemed to be just begging to be taught a lesson.
Rachel pushed her glasses up her nose, appearing slightly guilty. “I’m sorry. We had all misunderstood and isolated you for so long due to Xenia’s tricks.”
Everyone in their class was convinced that Noelle wasn’t a good person and that she had
bullied Xenia.
Noelle’s tone was filled with nonchalance as she said, “It’s all in the past.‘
Indeed, she did not have any friends in school because of Xenia. However, she still had many things that she wanted to do, so she had no time to hold onto such minor grudges.
When Noelle returned to her classroom, she did not even bother to spare Xenia a glance. The warning she had given Betty was also meant for Xenia.
The rain continued to pour throughout the day.
When class ended, Noelle received a message from Cedric asking her to wait a while. So, she took her umbrella and headed over to the infirmary.
However, she never expected to see Xenia on the infirmary bed with an IV drip when she entered. Noelle had thought that Xenia was supposed to be picked up by the Liddells. She wondered why she was here instead.

Cedric was adjusting the IV drip by the side when he saw Noelle enter the infirmary. He immediately said, “Wait for me for just a while longer.”
Noelle nodded. Suddenly, Xenia said weakly, “Noelle, you’re here. Frank said he’d come over to pick me up, but he hasn’t arrived yet. Could you help me call him to ask when he will arrive?

Noelle pursed her lips. “Do you not have your own hands?”
“Xenia, are you alright?” Lucas had just walked over in the rain when he saw Xenia on the bed. He immediately frowned and turned to Noelle.
“Xenia is sick now. What’s wrong with helping her to make a call? Even if you have a problem with us, you shouldn’t take it out on Xenia. She doesn’t owe you anything.” He had clearly heard how cold Noelle’s voice had been when she refused to help Xenia.
Noelle was unfazed, as she was already used to hearing Lucas blame her for something.
On the other hand, Cedric said coldly, “As Xenia’s guardian, aren’t you responsible for looking after her? How is any of this Noelle’s fault?”
Lucas retorted unhappily, “If Noelle hadn’t refused to share an umbrella with Xenia this morning, Xenia would not have gotten sick.
“Noelle, I know your results have improved considerably, but you can’t use such tricks to get Xenia sick. You already know that she’s always been weaker than others. How can you want to try and chase her away?”
Noelle’s expression remained unchanged as she said, “Because I hate her.”
“Noelle, how can you be so cruel? Xenia’s father had saved your life! How can you treat his daughter like that?” Lucas could not help but lose his temper.
He was only filled with disappointment when he saw Noelle’s cold expression remain unchanged.
“Noelle, you’ve changed ever since you started becoming friends with that school doctor.”
Cedric chuckled as he said, “You don’t think that Noelle’s has changed. You just don’t think
have that much control over her since she has refused to join your team.

“You’re upset because you can’t control her like a loyal pet anymore, so now you’re angry and humiliated. In the end, you’re just bitter that you can’t profit from her anymore.” Lucas was furious as he stomped his feet and asked, “Noelle, do you feel that way too?”
