“You, a woman, are using such outdated standards to judge and harm another woman. Ms. Sheppard, maybe you’re the kind of person still bound by old regressive ways, but not all women are like you, Jonathan said.
“They are free, bright, and proud. In my eyes, no matter what past Cynthia has lived–no matter how many men she’s loved -I don’t care. It’s those experiences that shaped her,” Jonathan continued.
“She is honest, radiant, and real. To me, she’s the purest and most precious woman. But as for you, Ms. Sheppard, your thoughts and actions are vile, disgusting, Jonathan added.
Jonathan rarely spoke much, especially in front of others. Lilian looked at him. The weight of his words then bore down on her like an unbearable force, leaving her breathless,
The golden evening light bathed Jonathan, giving him the aura of a divine being. Yet to Lilian, his brilliance was blinding. almost painful.

Jonathan stepped closer, half of his body swallowed by the shadows cast by the tall buildings. He stood against the light, his entire aura darkening.
