The next morning, after her morning exercise, Cherise returned to the 26th floor of Glenshire Gardens. She saw Morris waiting for her at the door in his casual clothes.
Morris saw Cherise return and went up to greet her. Cherise noticed and spoke first. “Well, Mr. Chivers, have you been waiting for me long?”

As soon as the door closed, Cherise took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.
She checked her pulse; it was strange that her pulse was so fast today.
Today was Cherise’s first day teaching at Betrico University, so after getting ready, she changed into a smart office outfit.
She was wearing white wide–leg trousers with a nice drape and a pink short–sleeved knit top. A belt that matched the color of her pants was wrapped around her waist.
She had on a pair of nude high–heeled sandals, showing her toes adorned with light–colored nail polish.
Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail. Her overall appearance was elegant, youthful, and stylish.
She picked up a chic little bag from the shoe cabinet by the door, closed the door, and headed towards apartment 2602 across the hall.
Before she even reached 2602, a familiar scent drifted through the slightly open door.
Cherise gave a slight smile and eagerly pushed the door open. As soon as she walked in, she saw Morris setting dishes on the
table.
“Cherise, you’re here. Come sit down and eat,” Morris said gently,
“Okay,” Cherise replied softly. She walked naturally over to the table, and they sat facing each other
Morris had made breakfast: sandwiches, fried eggs, and a cup of warm milk.
As usual, his culinary skills were excellent, and they ate in silence, But in their hearts, they understood each other.
After breakfast, Morris prepared to go to work, and Cherise was about to leave for Betrico University.
They both stepped into the elevator together. The doors closed, and they slowly descended.

Morris looked at her, not wanting to leave, as he took her other hand. “Cherise, it’s my first day as your boyfriend Let me give you a ride, okay?”
When Cherise heard the word “boyfriend,” her mind went blank with a bang, and her little face turned beet red Without realizing it, she nodded slightly.
And that’s how she ended up in Morris’s car as if guided by fate. They didn’t speak on the way, but their hands stayed tightly clasped the whole time.
