As soon as Cherise left, Marlon and Mike followed her to Trent’s office.

Melissa stomped her foot in frustration when she saw him walking away and having them block her.
She thought, The Chambers and Chivers families had always been close, so how could he not know me well?
Seeing no one around, she ignored her image as a big star.
She lashed out at Steven and Leo, “You’re just Morris’s lackeys. How dare you stop me? Aren’t you worried that one day I might become Mrs. Chivers?”
After venting, she turned around and left, feeling satisfied.
Once she was gone, Steven and Leo exchanged looks and simultaneously said, “What a nuisance.”
Inside the hall, the remaining members of the Leach and Chambers families finally began to catch on.

Jacob listened and felt a fire simmering in his heart. Just then, the CEO of HomeBase Estates walked preventing him from blowing up.
He quickly greeted him politely, “Mr. Moraros, I haven’t even greeted you yet, and here you are already.”
