After a minor incident, by the time Cherise got back to Glenshire Gardens, it was already daylight.
After her morning workout and a scuffle with those two guys, her stomach was growling with hunger.
She had just grabbed a cup of instant noodles from the kitchen drawer when there was a knock at the door.
Looking through the peephole, she saw it was Hugh.
As soon as the door opened, Hugh greeted warmly. “Good morning, Ms. Leach. You’re probably hungry. Mr. Chivers asked me to bring you breakfast.
Hearing this, Cherise glanced at the beautiful wooden box Hugh was holding, which had the words “Elite Cuisine” on it. She thought, ‘Great, that’s much better than instant noodles. And she let Hugh put the box on the dining table.
When Hugh returned to room 2602, Cherise opened the box. A delicious aroma filled the air, and it was a traditional local
breakfast.
There were sausages, unsmoked bacon, whole wheat toast, a pancake, and a serving of salmon sandwich.
She picked up his phone, snapped a picture, and sent it to Morris with a message saying [Thanks.]
Morris replied instantly. [Hey girl, eat up!]
Cherise smiled slightly and contentedly started to eat.
32nd floor, Building A. Uptown International, Joseph sat at the desk, practicing his handwriting with his left hand.
Roger walked in and said, “Mr. Joseph Chivers.”
Joseph looked up and asked, “Did you catch them?”
Roger lowered his head and replied, “No, Ghost Hand’s people got arrested.”
The next moment, a chilling laugh escaped Joseph’s lips. “Did Morris send people to protect her?”
“I’m not sure, all the surveillance footage from that area disappeared,” Roger answered.
Then he added. “And we couldn’t bail out Ghost Hand’s two men but they sent one message through the lawyer.”
“What?” Joseph asked.
“I trusted you, but that woman is like a fighting Amazon, Roger conveyed accurately.
“Interesting, so the woman Morris found isn’t ordinary either, what a small–country girl. Keep raising the bid and hire the top killer,” Joseph said coldly.
Roger nodded and replied, “Yes”
“By the way, Mr. Joseph Chivers, what about tonight’s anniversary at Betrico University?”
“Get ready, we must make an appearance for Regalflow Group too.”
