As expected. Cherise was taken to the Chivers Group by Morris. Wait here patiently for me to return. I’m going to a meeting.

Cherise nodded. “Okay. Go ahead. I won’t be bored.”
“Alright.” Morris playfully pinched Cherise’s nose and stood up to leave.
Today’s meeting was quite important, as it was the first executive meeting after Christmas.
Steven. Leo, and Hugh all joined in too, so the meeting was expected to last for a while.
Cherise casually picked up a magazine and began flipping through it. The content was quite interesting and kept her attention until a few knocks interrupted.
Cherise responded and resumed reading her magazine. The person who entered was an administrative assistant from the executive office, named Monica Henson, who was a big fan of Cherise.
With her hair in two braids, she came in and just kept staring at Cherise. Cherise was still focused on her magazine. Noticing the person enter and stay silent, she tilted her head and asked, “What’s up?”
Monica was so caught up in admiration that she nearly forgot why she had come in. She lightly tapped her head. “Oh, right Mrs. Chivers, Mr. Harold Chivers is here again, and it seems there’s some commotion.
“The reception downstairs asked us to let Mr. Morris Chivers know, but he’s in a meeting. Most of us aren’t really comfortable interrupting.
“Mrs. Chivers, our executive office sent me to ask if you could please talk to Mr. Morris Chivers. We wouldn’t want Mr. Harold Chivers to tarnish the image of the Chivers Group.”
“Oh?” Cherise said, closing the magazine she was holding. She repeated the name out loud, “Harold?”
Monica nodded. “Yes.”
Cherise stood up. Monica thought she was going to the conference room to call Morris, but Cherise walked up to Monica and suddenly said, “I’ll go check it out myself, no need to bother Morris.”
“Huh?” Monica exclaimed in confusion.
Cherise spoke clearly, “Yeah, let’s go. You lead the way, and I’ll take a look,”
Monica quickly nodded. “Huh? Oh, okay”
In the lobby downstairs, Harold was back again after Morris had warned him the last time
It wasn’t that he wanted to come, but some of his assets and bank cards had been suspended by Morris. He was here today to get an explanation. After all, he still needed his daily expenses, and he was still Morris’s father.
When Cherise got downstairs, Harold was loudly shouting a lot in the lobby, mostly insults and complaints.
“Morris, I’m your father. How can you treat me like this? Get someone to let me upstairs quickly. I want to confront you face to face. All of you get lost and don’t get in my way,” Harold shouted.
Charice just stood at the elevator entrance, watching him from a distance, feeling somewhat angry as she listened.

Slowly walking up to Harold, she sneered, “So, the ex–head of the Chivers Group has stooped this low? After our encounter today, I must say, you’ve left a truly terrible impression.”
Harold was still in a daze, not reacting to the person in front of him.
Cherise continued, “From a distance, I thought it was some random person making a scene, but it’s really you.”
Cherise felt no affection toward Harold, just as she had no fondness for her biological father, Jacob. In fact, Harold was even more disliked than Jacobs. After all, he showed no concern for family ties, always ruthless and cold–hearted.
After Cherise finished speaking, Harold finally snapped back to reality, looking at her with disdain. “It’s you, huh? What right do you have to talk to me?
“Don’t think that just because you married Morris, I’ll recognize you as my daughter–in–law. No way. My daughter–in–law has to be approved by me.”
Cherise snorted, staring directly at him, “Humph. Who do you think you are? That’s just your opinion, and it means nothing to me. Besides, you don’t deserve to be a father at all.”
With a crowd in the lobby, Cherise’s remarks stung Harold’s pride. But for some reason, the look in Cherise’s eyes made him feel inexplicably timid. “G–Get Morris down here. I want to ask him why he has shut down all the businesses under my
name.
Cherise took a step forward after hearing this. Harold thought she was up to something and instinctively stepped back in defense.
Cherise responded slowly, “He’s busy. If you have something to say, just tell me. After all, I’m his legal wife now.”
Harold, full of pent–up anger, glared fiercely at Cherise. “I’m not leaving until I see Morris today. You had better be smart and get him down here.
“Otherwise, I’ll reveal that Morris killed his own brother and is now trying to suppress me, his biological father.
“If I had known Morris was truly heartless, I would have ended his life when he was born. Has the world gone crazy? I can’t believe no one sympathizes with me.”
These words completely infuriated Cherise, her eyes shining with a cold and fierce glint. “Fine, today I’ll take the place of both Morris and Mrs. Chivers, and personally teach you a lesson
Harold was momentarily stunned by these words, unsure of what Cherise intended to do. Before he could say anything. Cherise somehow quickly moved right in front of him.
He saw a shiny flash flicker in her hand as she raised it and slapped Harold on the forehead. Something invisible seemed to go into him.
Harold felt a sharp pain at the top of his head but didn’t understand what was happening. “What did you do to my head he asked in shock.
“Oh, nothing much, just running a small experiment with you to see if it works,” Cherise said nonchalantly.
