The servant led him into the neighboring estate. The Muller family’s wealth was enormous, and of course, the estate was built to the highest standards.
Rita’s residence was no different: blending various styles, quict, elegant, and comfortable. Before Garrick arrived in Betrico, he had already informed Rita, and at that moment, she was in the tea room, brewing tea and waiting for him.
The fragrance of the tea filled the air, and the smoke curled up softly. Rita sat calmly, her expression neutral, giving away no emotion.
Her long–time servant, Nellie, entered, her face bright with a hint of excitement. “Madam, your brother has arrived. He’s heading toward the tea room now.”
“Mm.” Rita gave a soft response. Nellie, seeing Rita’s indifference wasn’t sure what to say.
After all, the two siblings had once been very close when they were with the Hawkins family, but now, after so many years, with distance and their own families, that closeness felt distant. Before long, the servant led Garrick into the room.
When Rita saw him, she immediately stood up, and her calm expression changed in an instant. “Garrick, you’ve come!” she said, her voice filled with a hint of excitement.
Garrick, walking toward her, responded with the same emotion. Indeed, my dear sister. It’s been over ten years since I last saw you in Hamolica.”
Once a person starts their own family, especially in the older generation, chances to meet become less and less. Both of them felt a touch of sadness.
“Let me make you some tea,” Rita said, showing a little affection toward her brother. Garrick nodded and sat down across from her.
As Rita brewed the tea, she said, “You haven’t changed much over the years. You still seem as strong as ever.”
Garrick sighed. “I’m getting old. But you remain as calm and graceful as always.”
Rita smiled, poured him a cup of tea, and handed it to him. “It seems the matter with Camellia has finally been settled. It’s such a shame about that girl.”
“A diviner said her fate was unfortunate,” Garrick added.
Rita looked up at him. “And what about Hannia? How is her engagement with the Graves family going? That should be rushed–The Graves family is at the peak of their power right now.”
Hearing this, Garrick said, “This is exactly why I’ve come to see you!”
“Oh? What do you mean?” Rita asked, her curiosity piqued.
Garrick glanced around the tea room, saw that only Nellie was present, and leaned in to whisper in Rita’s ear, “It seems my witchcraft has failed. The curse I put on Hannia can’t bring her back.”
At his words, Rita’s eyes widened in shock, and she froze for a moment, her hands pausing in mid–action. “Are you Could it be that you’ve forgotten something or made a mistake?”

Garrick understood immediately–his sister’s skills were far better than his own, and she would try again.
Rita picked up a piece of paper, wrote down Hannia’s birth char and lit the candle.
As the smoke rose, she started muttering incantations, repeating words similar to those Garrick had used the night before.
Five minutes passed, and the smoke suddenly vanished. Both Rita and Garrick stared in disbelief.
Rita paused to think. “Do you know if Hannia has been seeing anyone lately?”
Garrick shook his head. “She hasn’t been home for over a year. We really have no idea”
Rita furrowed her brow. “This makes things more complicated. We’ll need to think this through carefully.
“Even you can’t solve this?” Garrick asked, concern creeping into his voice.
“Not right now. I need time to think and figure out where the problem is,” Rita replied.
Garrick nodded, reassured by his sister’s focus, and quietly accepted that it would take time.
Saphira, after an awkward morning, had no one brave enough to bring the subject up again. Although Morris was far away in Yasvissa, he still took time out of his work.
In the room Bella had prepared for him the night before, Morris sat on the bed, while Steven, Leo, and Hugh stood in front of him.
Steven spoke first, handing him two photos. “These are recent pictures of Harold’s travels. We’ve looked into it–he’s been selling off his assets in Manesia and Fresburg in large amounts.
“Also, Regalflow Group has been transferred under his name.”
Morris nodded. “A man with big ambitions. Let’s see what he can do. Just make sure the Chivers residence is being watched by the Dark Web Division.”
“Understood,” the three said together.
Morris put down the photos and looked up at them, motioning for them to come closer. “Come here, all of you. Handle this carefully and keep it confidential.”
Steven, Leo, and Hugh moved in closer. And the four men stood at the foot of the bed, heads bent together, whispering softly.
