Today, Cherise stepped out without any weapons, not even her needles, leaving her completely defenseless.
Her speed was so impressive that the dozen or so bodyguards didn’t even see her attacks coming.
It was only when a loud crack of bone broke the silence, followed by a horrifying scream, that they realized where she was.
She had quickly taken down the man in unusual clothes, who now lay on the ground, sweating and gasping for air.
The other bodyguards stood in shock, unable to believe that this seemingly fragile girl was overpowering them.
Surely, they must have misjudged her.
But then, to confirm their mistake, several more of their companions fell one after another, their cries of pain filling the air.
Each of Cherise’s strikes aimed at specific joints and pressure points because she knew exactly where to hit for the most damage.
These bodyguards weren’t weak; they just happened to be up against Cherise.
The sounds of pain echoed down the academic avenue.
Standing nearby, Hugh clapped enthusiastically, saying, “Wow, that was amazing! Ms. Leach, you are so cool!”
In less than ten minutes, all those who had surrounded her were on the ground, defeated.
Cherise looked over the fallen bodyguards before approaching the man in different clothes.
Instead of crouching next to him, she stood tall, pressing her black stiletto heel into the palm of his hand.
The man, already struggling to breathe, now felt as if he were sinking into despair, trapped in a nightmare.
The woman before him was no ordinary person; she was like a devil, a fierce enchantress with a vise–like grip.
“Please, have mercy! The pain is unbearable!” the man whimpered, his voice shaking with fear.
Cherise scoffed, crouching slightly to lower her weight and pressing down harder with her heel, causing even more pain.
“Who sent you here?” Her voice was cold and lacking any empathy.
Overwhelmed by the agony, the man felt he could take no more. He figured that confessing might give him some relief.
His lips trembled as he responded, “Camellia Hawkins.”
Cherise showed no surprise at the
name.
ght, Camellia. Our issues run deep.”
With that, she lifted her foot from his palm and brushed her hands off.
Turning to Hugh, who quickly opened her down jacket for her, Cherise slipped it on in a hurry and reached into her pocket to grab her phone, dialing a number.
It took just two seconds for the call to connect. “Hello, Cherise,” came the voice on the other end.
Cherise replied, “Mr. Winter, there’s a situation on my way. Please send someone to handle it.”
“I’ll make the arrangements right away.”

With only ten minutes before the press conference was set to begin, Dora and Crow kept checking the time, glancing nervously at the entrance.
The seated media, company shareholders, and business partners were all waiting for Cherise to arrive.
Suddenly, a commotion broke out, turning everyone’s attention to the entrance.
Dora and her friends initially thought Cherise had arrived.
But when the figure came into view, they realized it was not her
It was Camellia, even though Dora and Crow hadn’t met her before.
However, Jason recognized her and slightly frowned. “What is she doing here?”
Camellia, knowing about Dora’s reputation, walked over to them, her bright red lips and fancy makeup making an impression. “Ms. Xenakis, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person.”
Dora, keeping polite, nodded slightly. “Hello, and who might you be?”
“I’m Camellia, the head of Orlinth Innovations,” she said confidently.
This revelation left Dora, Crow, and Jason momentarily speechless, realizing that the striking woman before them was the very head of Orlinth Innovations, the one behind the shorting of GlobalVision Group.
Looks of disdain crossed their faces.
Camellia then turned to Jason, her smile brightening. “Jason, it’s been a while! How have you been?”
Jason didn’t care much for anyone connected to Orlinth Innovations, and now that he knew who she was, his disinterest only grew. He nodded politely but chose not to reply.
Unbothered, Camellia gracefully made her way to her seat.
As she left, Crow quickly asked Jason, “Do you know Camellia? She seems quite impressive, and she’s the head of Orlinth Innovations.”
Curiosity sparked, Dora also looked at Jason.
He replied simply, “Yes, she’s from the Hawkins family. My grandfather’s current wife is also from the Hawkins family- quite a shady bunch of people.”
